For this price , the product looks reasonable , only drawback i see is the design. it seems to be very old looking and not trendy . The speed of the data transfer is excellent and its auto-backup feature is very handy.

Difficulty loading due to Windows 10 and WD support was of little help - finally solved that problem on my own. Does not always back up as scheduled. I would only recommend with qualifications.

I first had to use it on a school mac and the process to install the drivers were a PAIN! I even forgot how i did it. However, on my windows laptop, it just worked once I plugged it in.

I'm not sure if it's my computer that is having the issues or if it's the external hard drive but it's very annoying to have issues every time I try to stop it from running so that I can unhook it.

Lacks a little bit of toughness for being portable. I had to buy this one as a backup because my last one had a malfuctioning hard disk. Might be worth the extra money to get the solid state portable drive.

The case is not more protective than a plastic bag which makes the cost not worth it. If the size was larger I'd under stand but this was the cheapest option in store and still was pricy

i had hard time getting things move around to store on my passport that could have been my error. I do recommend not to leave it plug in to your laptop or cpu.

My Laptop is a Mac, but primarily use PCs. This thing is a nightmare on compatibility & I hate that they use a proprietary cable. Other than that it's fine for a data backup drive.

There are no instructions for a first time user of an external hard drive. I feel I have spent a lot of money and cannot use the product without going back to Gee kSquad.

Its a commodity that is required in todays world, but remember these backups don't last forever. I lost all my songs on a backup system so you constantly have to update.

Had to call and ask for instructions tried to then do myself could not,was told by geek squad that on screen instructions would be there was not had to get my neighbors to help

this kindle cover has a flap that's supposed to fold in to form a stand. It really doesn't work at all if your kindle is on a smooth surface- flap just slides flat...

The transfer of photos from one computer to the hard drive went well; however, the transfer from the hard drive to the second computer took an upgrade on the second computer to complete.

Not as easy to use as I hoped. Wish it didn't import everything every time it's inserted, which just uses up storage space for duplicate data.

Bought this to have hard drive recovery data saved on here. Didn't use because cost of recovery too high. When I get it back, I will use to backup files on new pc.

I was extremely upset that all of my programs-office, power point, excel, etc. were not put back on the new hard drive. It's ridiculous that that couldn't be done.

I bought a sea gate but when I went back to best buy the ran out so they recommended WD passport so far its faster easier to transfer files and the cord is way thicker .

Due to drive configurations and Geek Squad installing my existing hard drive into this new CPU, purchase of this external drive was not necessary, so a credit was issued.
