No issues backing up my computer. However, I do get an error message each time I shut off my computer, which should not happen each and every time.

I was looking for a external hard drive and unfortunately this was not going to work for me. i was looking for a Mac compatible and i couldnt identify it

This product works great as a back up storage device, however using it for a Mac wasn't intuituive and I had to do some research in order to get it to work properly.

I lost all my information, I bought this external drive because it seems more reliable.

The power requirements via the USB power cable were too high for the Wii U to use this as additional storage. Got a large USB thumb drive and it works perfect.

It is what it is, a remote drive for storage, Only problem is since I installed the software my computer is a dog. Might unload and trash this drive.

Bought to replace an old Seagate portable drive that was getting noisy. Drive works OK; however, backup software supplied with drive is very poor. Slow, fails to back up all files, scheduling never seems to work as intended. Had a HD failure a few years ago and the old Seagate saved the day- don't have same degree of confidence in the WD backup tools so we have started using Windows Backup to handle this. Expected more from a company that has been around as long as WD.

This worked okay with an old laptop, but didn’t install correctly on my new windows 10 all in one. Maybe the OS (64 bit). Oh well.

The Hong came with a cord that attaches to the drive, but you have to force it in. It works half the time the other half is a miss

Was forced to buy because had to pay for memory backup even though I purchased a warranty

It has a lot of memory but it is slow and the format is outdated once you try to use it on more than one device it wipes it memory

I cannot get it to work on my home computer. It has no problems on the laptop. Cannot figure why. So it defeated the purpose of buying it.

I purchased it as a gift for someone. Did not use. I purchased it based on the knowledge of the person who helped me at the store.

It's really just a big thumb drive. I was hoping to use it to run programs from my dell chrimebook since the hard drive is so small

I have not had to use this yet but I am sure it will come in handy when needed. I would recommend this to any college student.

Hard drive itself is great. Wasn't told where the files were stored after data transfer. Took some time to find but had everything in the end.

Not very user friendly. Having written instructions would have been nice to have with the unit.

I bought this for our grandson and just found out it isnt working like his brothers so I will be returning it and purchasing something else.

It was more difficult to use than I had been led to believe. It is more difficult finding data in the right order.

I can’t rate it because I couldn’t figure out how to use it . Don’t understand the instructions
