I've used this portavle back up and so far is working good, very easy to use, connect and program the back up from my laptop. I took me a few minutes to get everything set up and running, now when I need to back up my files I just plug in the device and work seamlessly.

Purchased to add an external hard drive to my daughters NVIDIA Shield TV. Provides ample storage and speed to run retro games and act as a PLEX server. Drive is fast enough to allow two people to stream the same movie file both local and remote shared.

I had a need to exchange a large number of files with a friend so thought I would allow the exchange through this device. It comes with imbedded software so doesn’t require any formatting prior to first usage. It functioned as expected and files were successfully exchanged.

They didn't have a Seagate, but we needed a backup option. WD has always been right up there for our needs so opted for this one. So far so good. Build is solid and it's compact.

Needed something to hold pictures when our phones filled up, rather than paying for a service like iCloud or Dropbox. So far so good. It’s worked on every computer I’ve connected it to.

This external hard drive is very easy to use and is a nice size for transporting.

I have 3 of these. I typically get the 8TB models. So far they are just as reliable as the larger sizes.

As i needed to archive my old computer files, I needed a external hard drive that I consider realiable.

I purchased the WD-My Passport 2TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive to store all mt pictures and documents from my old computers and lap tops. I still had a lot of unused memory left on it.

I bought this for additional storage for my Xbox one. It does its job well enough, but it was generating an intermittent, high-pitched whine that was audible over my gaming headset at times. I ultimately decided to go with an SSD for quieter and faster performance, but would still recommend this product for those who don't want to shell out the extra $ for an SSD.

Excellent drive to replace my 3 year old back up drive. It's less than the cost of the last one due to advancing technology. It's also much slimmer and quieter. It will never match my WD SSD External Drive but for the price it is an excellent drive.
