    I use this drive to back up files with Time Machine. It does a good job. I had no problems installing and starting the back up process.

    Using as a dvr recording storage device. Works great. Tons of sty for streaming video. Salome a ton on entertainment costs. Would totally recommend it.

    The write speed will heavily depend on your computer/laptop since my older laptop took an hour to write what my newer one does in 10 minutes. It's pretty portable and easy to just copy your files over. It does not come with a USB3.0 to USB C connector so you'll need to use your own.
