My Passport by WD is a perfect external drive to use as a Time machine backup for my MacBook Air! I set it up in seconds and it has preformed flawlessly ever since.

Bought for my Mack Book. Love the 4TB Size, Love the Small Price. It has proven t be a very good drive. I normally use Seagate, but the Price was right on this one. Perfect for on the go and traveling.

This is used as a backup to my Mac. It was super easy to set up and use. About 2 months into ownership I have no issues whatsoever.

Overall very good and reliable. However, occasionally the Time Machine backup fails, and the drive shows that it has no contents (in reality, the backup data are still there, just not appearing when clicking on the icon). This requires to dismount and then remount the drive in order to have the Time Machine to be able to continue with its backups. Annoying, but not a show stopper. Seems strange for a hard drive specifically formatted for a Mac to be doing this (I have had similar problems with other WD external drives that were not specifically formatted for a Mac).

easy to set up - happy with the price and the amount of storage

Easy to set up. Viewed a tutorial on YouTube for help but then it was good to go. More than enough space for your average person who wants to back up pictures and videos for memories and even my documents.

Holds lots of pics and takes up little space. Great to take on vacation.
