I work in the IT field and over the past 20 years I've purchase MULTIPLE WD devices, and they have all performed well.

This is a drive I never really think about but it is constantly doing it's job for me. I use this for Time Machine backup on my M1 Macbook Pro which I have configured for desktop use most of the time. It is connected to my laptop via a dock and it has been very effective in running the Time Machine backups. Fortunately I have not had to recover a file from it but I regularly check on Time Machine and it is consistently handling the regular backups.

Connected great and working fine on my Mac. No complaints, does what it needs to do.

We recently stopped by the Aiea Best Buy and purchased WD My Passport and was pleasantly surprised by the ease of setup and small footprint. It was much smaller than my previous version. Aloha!

WD is the only brand I will buy or even recommend. This WD - My Passport for Mac 4TB External USB Portable Hard Drive is not as small as my normal “go-to” the WD - My Passport SSD, but in all other aspects its the same. Also, there is an alternative Ultra that’s available, but I really didn’t find that much of a difference in speed-transfer, so I opted for the non-ultra & saved a few dollars. In summary, it’s an excellent buy & even better if purchased while on-sale.

Product has been working well so far as a good backup hard drive.

Works great and the transfer rate is relatively fast. I would recommend to others as a storage device.

Plenty of Storage! Convenient and portable. I never have to worry that I will loose photos or videos when I transfer them onto my Passport

I keep all my photos on this and I’m able to go back and pull them up anytime. I won’t absolutely love it.

This External Hard Drive works perfectly and feels very strong. This doesn’t feel flimsy or delicate like other HD. The speed is at expected.

Easy to use on imacs. Failure rate is low . Speed is fine for time machine .

Excellent device, high performance in MAC pc but also exceptional performance on Windows for transfer data.
