Hubby needed this product to back up and store his music collection which did not have a back up prior to this purchase. Worked out perfectly

I was in need of a large amount of storage capacity that would connect to new MacBook Pro (Thunderbolt or USB-C). I have found it to be a cost-effective solution to storage problems without causing a space problem (very small footprint)!

Purchased this for my Mac. Works great. Plenty of storage. Easy to use. Definitely satisfied. The Mac identifies it immediately. Easy to transfer files.

This a great external hard that is great for saving documents, photos, and video files. The primary use for my external WD My Passport Deive was to work with rendering large video files. I use it with my MacBook Air Laptop to work with photos and video files. It helps to conserve my hard drive space on my laptop.This WD external hard drive has worked without fail. It is quick in accessing files and documents. It is small and compact, I am able to carry along with problem with all my photography gear and laptop when I am on the go. I highly recommend this WD external hard drive.

I have a 7 year old iMac and have been storing documents, pictures, videos, and music on it since day one. It has been showing its age lately and has started to become slow and exhibit some other signs of aging. I purchased the WD My Passport to ensure I don't lose anything when my Mac finally does decide to give out. Connects directly to the Mac via USB and doesn't require any additional power source. The Mac immediately recognized the My Passport and began the setup process. Everything is working fine, but the setup could be a little simpler. It's not hard to do, but somewhat convoluted and the interface isn't very intuitive. Good luck finding good instructions from WD as well.

Tons of space and very easy to use and install for a beginner. It's not too loud despite the fact that it is not an SSD drive.

I've had a number of external portable hard drives in the last few years, working often in mixed platforms (PC and Mac). I have found the Passport family of external drives to be very reliable and easy to find, and very flexible and adjustable when it comes to interplatform compatibility. And the price is definitely right.

I travel for three weeks at a time and needed something to do backups when on the road. This drive works out of the box with Mac, and I just set up Time Machine to use it, and voila, it just worked. I can't speak to its use as a data drive, but I'm sure it would work fine.

Great portable hard drives. Satisfactory speed with usb 3, it could be better if it was usb c/thunderbolt speed though. The dual pattern design makes it look great while having huge 4TB of the spaces for my photos

Small, compact, no need to plug into an electrical outlet. The moment I attached the included cable to my computer and clicked on the device to select it, it flawlessly linked to Time Machine and started backing up. Could not be easier!

This is a great product that provides storage for many large documents! I love this for work, especially when I don’t have internet service but can still access my documents!

Four TB and extremely easy to get started. I used it on my IMac and it took all of 15 seconds to set it up as the back up on time capsule. Cannot say enough good things!

Needed an new external drive and Best Buy recommended the passport. I needed a good one since my other one was damaged. Seems easy to use and has a good amount of space .
