Going on 2 years with it and working perfectly. decnt trasnfer speeds for large files. usb c interface makes for a easy trasnfer without needing to carry multiple cables. (although they are included if needed)

Solid backup storage device. If you have more than 2TB of data to backup, I don't know what to recommend. If you're a normal person this will more than handle your needs.

It was simple & easy to plug in to laptop for backup. It is small & flat so it sits behind laptop & I just leave it attached.

My only expectation that it would work with both older and newer Macs (regular USB and new USB-C connectors) was nicely met by the included but easily lost adapter. It works as a drive it was reasonably priced. Why BestBuy asks for reviews of rather unexciting basic products is beyond me.

My previous back-up HD was filled to capacity and Apple's Time Machine would not delete older back-ups. Hence, the purchase of this WD-My Passport back-up HD. I've used it once, and it took about 2 1/2 hours for the first back-up. All worked well. Set-up is a no brainer, I look forward to using this WD-My Passport back-up HD for a few more years to come.
