This does the job of storing data. Allows you to download more games and transfer to you internal storage as needed. The benefit is that the transfer is much faster than downloading. Good alternative to downloading and un-installing.

So far so good. Haven't found the included back up program yet, but haven't looked too hard. First WD product, the Toshiba I normally use have been on back order and needed something quick **still fairly new, so the review might change**

Excellent, reliable and easy to use storage device.

Easy to store photos from my phones, new and old. Also Word documents. Also music. After 4k worth of iTunes disappeared I no longer trust any Cloud... Am buying cd`s again after that experience. I suppose this could be used as a music player, haven't looked into it. Sony still makes the "Walkman" but its pricy.

I purchased 2 external 2TB Hard Drives in case one was compromised (which recently happened) and it cost me a few hundred dollars to retrieve the data (I was willing to pay to get the data back). Now I have 2 drives and one always for back up. Works great. Easy to use. Caution everyone on disconnecting correctly so as not to damage data.

Was looking for a quick, on-the-fly back up and it fits the bill. Basically plug it up and you're on your way. Fast and it does have an application to ext extend functionality.

Great for storage, but WD software to use with it could be better and have a better UI.

Extremely fast and high density of space. I picked up the 2tb size and this thing just flies. Now understand that you will need to format it to exfat which is so very simple to do, before you can connect it to an Android phone but once you do you can swap it from device to device with no issues.

Excellent product. No crashes I use it to store me EA account and games. It frees up so much space and holds all my base games and expansion games for the Sims.

Makes transferring PowerPoints and photos between Mac and PC ALMOST SEAMLESS! Was very surprised at how easy it was to use.

This external drive was easy to use, I want to transfer a lot of programs and pictures out of Apple computer and really made simple to do it.

I bought this to use with Mac Time Machine, and it's working great. The USB-C is much faster than my old backup drive and the switch was quick. It's also small, sleek and has a really nice silver finish that goes well with the Mac. So far, it's working well and I had no issues setting it up.
