For the price I paid, 69.99, this drive filled my needs. A nas drive, i expected to have a longer life than blue or green drives from WD. This drive is also utilises CMR technology, which I specifically looked for over SMR.

Excllent but the prices if anything higher then 4tb need to come down. I would buy 8 tb drives but to expanside so i have to by mors 4tb and making bigger nas arays when i would prer larger 8 tb drives in miroors. Only get 7800 rpm and above and namd drives even better but even mire expensive

So far so good. Been running for a few months now and hopefully for much much longer. Nothing has failed as of yet. This is my first nas setup and so far this WD RED is going strong for my families own cloud storage.
Good price that won't break the bank either.

Not huge or fast by today's standards, but when I'm setting up a TrueNAS system, I wanted a little more space, but not enough to break the bank.
These disks have been great so far and I'd order them again if I needed more space.

I have other WD Red Plus drives from a few years ago. This new one is louder when used in TrueNAS Scale. Every 5 minutes or so, I hear loud thudding from inside the drive.
Other than that, good drive at a good price.

Very cheap and reliable, no excuses for not having backups nowadays, I have been working with a sinology nas for 10 years, it was the best options to renew my drives
