You might reconsider this model

There is no button that says start or clear. If you take out food early then later go to Cook something there’s no button to clear it so you can put new time. Very frustrating! It is a lot less noisy as my last microwave so that’s great. Looks good, but wouldn’t buy this model again.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a replacement for one that died, picked this to match stove and fridge, same brand and finish, I wish best buy had the countertop models on display so a person could see them instead of buying them sight unseen, personally i wish the door release button was larger, it is smaller than what we used to have and you need to use a fingertip instead of a thumb the same for the start and stop buttons, they could be larger, there is plenty of room on the panel, larger folks and older people or ones with dextarity issues might have issues with controls, it looks good and it runs quietly compared to previous unit. 4 stars because of the button issues otherwise good value and happy with purchase.

Control Panel Issues - Buyer Beware
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While labeled as a countertop, we used this microwave as as a part of an overhead built-in design. The original unit lasted more than a decade but the replacement was manufactured in China in Jan. 2019 and the control panel /membrane began having issues in 2021. The start button has now completely ceased to function in May, 2022. The cost to replace the control panel is half the cost of the microwave. I would not buy another one except for the fact it fits the built in space and trim - which is almost as expensive to replace as the microwave. Based upon the other reviews - this is a common manufacturing issue - but clearly one that Whirlpool is unwilling to address given the lower manufacturing costs in China.

For the price I expected it to be nicer.

Poor quality.

Buttons stopped working in 2.5 years. For as expensive as this microwave was and how infrequently I used it, I am incredibly disappointed.

Junk from China
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very unhappy! We bought this microwave a little over 2 years ago and it no longer works! The buttons had stop working sporadically. One day you might be able to get the #1 or #3 to work then the next day they won't. Now, in addition to all of the buttons not working every day, the start button will not work at all! We have used this microwave very lightly - maybe once a day to heat a cup of coffee or a quick reheat of a meal. Very disappointment!
