Pretty dark if you're trying to match to black stainless. Knobs are pretty big and the front burner is more towards the middle, which takes some getting used to. Otherwise, it seems to cook evenly and be a good basic cooktop.

This has turned out to be an outstanding cooktop. I was afraid it would take much longer than a gas cooktop to warm up. No so. It gets hot blazingly fast and does an outstanding job. Highly recommend it.

Overall seems good. It replaces my previous cooktop and it fit my current opening. Only draw back is the black knobs only have indentations instead of white dots which makes it hard to see heat level.l

This is a very good cooktop. It may require a larger hole than the cooktop you are replacing which raises the installation costs considerably (plus $160 in our case). Just check your dimensions carefully that this will fit in the space of the one you are replacing. Once it was in the hole, hooked up with no problems and works very well.

A little difficult to clean but I LOVE this cooktop! Heats really fast!

We had our son use his fine motor skills to paint in the grooves on the knobs. But, yes -- Whirlpool should have done that.

Jumped up a grade on this cooktop because we wanted the Stainless knobs. Turns out they are made of plastic. They look like stainless but are not, Turns out you can buy knobs that are half the price.

Elegant and sleek but the all black knobs make it very difficult to see where heat control is set at. Also the print on the setting is very small and not bright enough to see where knobs are set! Already scratches and only in a week

I love the way it works, but I bought the white one well after only a few times of cooking on it it turns a brownish yellowish orange color where the heat elements are, and it doesn’t return back to white saddens me and extremely difficult to clean. I still like the idea of the style of cooking top it is I would buy it again except this time I would buy it in black because then I think where the burners are you wouldn’t be able to see a discoloration

I like that it heats up quickly and also shuts off quickly. The knobs could be better marked to see what heat is being used.

We wanted to replace an old Whirlpool cooktop. This new model fit perfectly with no expensive, messy, granite cutting. It looks good and cooks very well. From our own experience and talking to others, we are confident that the mechanical temperature controls are the best choice for reliability. Not as sleek, but not prone to failure.
