Runs so much quieter than my old (13 yrs) one and spins the clothes really well - reducing the dryer time. Also great capacity. Does what it needs to do and does it well. Don't feel like I'm missing out on getting extra features with a more expensive model.

Love it. So far I have used it for about a month on a regular basis. It runs smoothly and it is much quieter than my previous washing machine which I had bought brand new, My laundry comes out feeling clean and smelling clean. The drum is roomy and can certainly handle my queen size blankets. I have no problems operating. it is quite simple to use. I would definitely recommend it.

I love the washer. It has an amazing spin cycle which reduces my dry time. It has cut my loads in half due to its load capacity. My only complaint is how sensitive the buttons are. You barely bump it and you turn it off or cancel cycle. I just have to get use to the buttons being in front and I can’t lean against it to reach things on the shelf above or fold clothes on it.

The clothes come out very soft, and are only damp. I find the washer would need the pedestal for someone with a bad back. Although the same size as my previous front load, the tub is very low in the washer, and rather hard to get clothes out (I"m fairly tall) without stooping quite low. The controls are on the front, and very handy to reach, if a little confusing, and again, I must lean over to see the wash temperature.

So far so good. . .the machine works great. We were looking for the Whirlpool duet since that was the one we had but were told by Best Buy that they do not make them anymore.

    Happy Purchase

This is my first purchase of a front-loader and I chose this make/model based on BB reviews. It is a very basic washing machine, no drain tube on the bottom that the higher models have and other pre-set features but I dont wash anything exotic so I was fine with that. The old front-loader that came with the house was an Electrolux and it was 8 years old and the usual front ring mold was causing the water to leak on the floor so that was the reason for my purchase. Couple of things in comparing both washers. Keep in mind that the only comparison I have is the 8 yr old Electrolux with this model so I'm not sure what the "standard" is 1) This washer is significantly louder than the Electrolux. When the water pump is running to put water into the cycle, you can hear the water and the mechanics of the pump. When the cycle changes from wash to rinse to spin, the actual rinse and spin cycles are about 25% louder than the Electrolux 2) The wash cycles are almost doubled. For the Electrolux, I have a setting "Heavy Duty/Warm Water/Extra Spin" and it lasts about 1 hour 6 minutes. For this model and similar settings, the cycle lasts 1hour 48 minutes. If I knew about the above two points mentioned above, I would have inquired about the wash cycle times and if that was the norm. I would have purchased another model if the wash cycle time was shorter. A longer wash cycle means a higher electric bill and longer times for washing machine "noise". The louder machine noise was not a deal breaker because my washer and dryer are located downstairs and my bedrooms are upstairs so that is not an issue for me.

I didn't want a super-expensive washing machine with every bell and whistle under the sun. I wanted a good machine at a reasonable price that does the job-and gets our clothes clean. So far, I am very pleased with how clean this machine gets our clothes, towels, etc. I purchased a 5-year warranty just in case, since front-load machines have electronic boards, and that's what caused my last machine to stop working.

Working as expected, this is a replacement for our 13 year old Duet washer, and is so far functioning just as expected, it does what we want it to do, it washes the clothes, spin cycle seems nice and fast and the clothes come out about the same as the old one which was fairly close to dry. All in all we think it's a very good replacement for old washer

I previously owned a GE stackable washer and dryer which failed after three years. This whirlpool washer dryer combo is super efficient super fast and super quiet! The fact that it's made in the USA is an added bonus. I couldn't be any happier with my purchase. Best Buy made the purchase easy and delivery smooth! I am a new & dedicated Best Buy customer!

We have only used the washer a few times but it seems to clean the clothes well. My only real complaint is it seems fairly noisy during the spin cycle. It may be something that needs to be checked. The minor complaint is that the buttons are very sensitive. They will activate if you simply brush up against them.

This front loader is quiet and efficient. The only downside that I have experienced is that the door is not reversible, which stinks for my installation. This was not obvious during my pre-purchase review of products. Be ware, the door only opens right to left so the washer must be installed on the left of the dryer to have the doors open away from each other.

Great product. The best W/D I’ve ever owned. I owned them previously, loved them but sold them when we moved. We were gifted a set of relatively new Samsung’s in our new home, that were just the worst. Not sure how Samsung brings their products to market without field testing them first. They were awful and I hated using them. So we bought this newest set of Whirlpool. They’re great, very straight forward. I use the washer on quick wash/ cold for just about everything then the timed dry on 60 mins low, it usually drys in less time than that. Great units, they do a fantastic job of keeping our clothes in good shape. As a large family w lots of kids we probably do 3 or 4 loads a day everyday and this W & D unit goes the distance. Cleans super well as compared to the Samsung that always left behind stains. In the home building industry I outfit all my homes with whirlpool appliances, they’re the best I’ve found. Highly recommend.

Very pleased with my washer. Even though it's not "quiet as a mouse"....if a washer is that quiet, I can't imagine it could clean the clothes efficiently! it still has a "low level" noise factor which in the end really doesn't matter. The spin cycle works great, the clothes come out "waterless" which cuts down the drying time....saving money!

We needed to fit a new washer to an older base. All the other stores said the new washer would not fit the base. Then they added charges for it and an extra installation fee. At BB they let me measure the unit and determine the washer would fit the base. I said I wanted this specific price and no insurance. They said cool. Saved me about $500.

It's a good washer. The stainless steel tub is bigger than my last one. However I did go for the basic model this time and the cycle times are a little weird and not adjustable. I was able to use my old base from about 15 years ago it fits fine. It just hangs over the edge in the back a little but does not change functionality. I was very happy I got 10 years out of last washer I hope get the same.
