DO NOT BUY

The repair guy said he had 6 appointments that day and 5 of them were this washer. Mine has issues with bad sensors that skip cycles when washing; sometimes clothes come out dirty, sometimes they come out with dried up detergent on them, and sometimes it will wash for what seems like 2 hours. The repair guy also said there is a more critical issue (belt maybe?) that will eventually brick the machine unless you want to repair monthly. Search for reviews from other sources; Best Buy's are clearly manipulated to show the best reviews.

Died in 1 year - 1 month past the warranty date.

We have had technicians come out and look it and were told the machine is shot. Control board is burnt out and would cost more to fix than just buying a new machine. Extremely disappointed.

They came to repair it 2 days ago and I came home to start washing and it was not working properly. It filled with water all the way to the sltoo, their was a burning small and it did not wash the close. It is a 7cu washer but they tell me that doesn't mean you can put a lot of close on it because it will mess up. I dont overload it and it still doesn't do its job. I am very upset, we are a family of 5 I have a lot of clothes to wash. I bought it because they told me whirlpool was the best, not on this product there not. I will never buy a whirlpool item again.

The warranty repair company can’t come out for two weeks. Whirlpool is not the company from years past. I will never buy another Whirlpool because they don’t stand behind their product.

Waited 1 week for repairman. Parts not available. Returned. Still getting bill for $37 from Best Buy. Filing claim 2 month wait for this credit while accumulating late fees. Not EVER buying appliance there again. Customer service reps barely speak English and are exceptionally rude. No info on previous calls or status. Poorly trained and supervised - if trained at all. Incidentally whirlpool repairman (not Best Buy employee) said delivery guy tore out parts from bottom of machine delivering it

The Sears Home Services technician didn't even bother to show up on the most recent scheduled service date. Don't buy a Whirlpool washer from Best Buy and avoid Sears Home Services.

Poor reliability; bad circuit board
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Washer failed with drain pump stuck on and won’t stop running, even unplugging washer and plugging back in results in same response. Of course, the washer is 15 months old, so now just out of 1 yr warranty. Repair tech visit diagnosed bad circuit board, repair cost estimate $591 (new washer was $700), so I declined but that cost me $150 just for service call. Also have matching dryer so now I need to decide to try Maytag/Best Buy again or go another route.

Most noisy washing I've ever experienced

Drain Pump went out at 2 years

Purchased new 07/2022 after a Maytag washer malfunctioned and flooded out house. This whirlpool washer broke in 09/2024 with tge drain pump going out and orher parts. Technician informed us that Whirlpool and Maytag are pretty much the same thing same parts and same issues.
