Paid for expert installation but not the services I received. All cameras do not have the screws holding the cameras in place/not installed, some only have 2 holding it. Tech did not know how to connect the system and left it that way and told me this is a problem for Best Buy and not him. Went to Best Buy to explain what happened and was ignored by the customer service team. I would not pay again for this.

Did a great job. They kept me up-to-date with the installation. They also cleaned up, you wouldn't even know they were here. I would recommend them.

The agent was great for what was accomplished. However, they did not have enough wire to reach my far-end cameras. I was sent an email to go on a link to order the wire. When I followed the link it was not clear to me what to do. Please get the needed wire and have the installation completed.
Also, one of the cameras that is installed does not appear to be secured to the ceiling.

They installed somehow but one or more screws went through the electric live wire caused me lot of problems. So I have to paid a lot of money to the electrician to fix the partial damage and need more money to fix the rest. I can’t afford this kind of problem. please let them know whoever is they should have a devise to scan before screwing near by the lightning wire.

This review is not for the camera system as the system was never installed. The Best Buy installation contractor rescheduled this job a total of 6 times. Showed up the first time without tools and wire to do the job. The remaining five no shows either just never showed up, or the office would call and say the installer was lost and attempted to call the home owner, which of course they never did. Spent hours on the phone on hold and with agents attempting to get this worked out, and ended in the same result over and over again. Will never, ever, ever let Best Buy install anything again.......never.
Scheduling with Geek Squad is an absolute nightma!

The camera that turns dark was neither fixed nor replaced. The scheduler charged me for a site survey confusing the Geek since he had just completed total installation. The system was reinstalled to the network and is working much better. The e-mail on the computer did not work the next day. It has been repaired by someone else. We would like to have the camera working as it should but will not go through the trauma of scheduling again.

If I actually write a review about my experience with Best Buy third party service it will be 10 pages long. So I’ll keep short! My home camera’s were purchase back in October 2022 my installation was actually completed the right way march 2023 that’s when the last company came to our home a did a great JOB.

1 no show and 2 job refusals later I ended up getting a refund and doing it myself. Worst experience I’ve had. Both times they came out to do it they found a excuse not to do it. The 2nd time they actually came out my appointment window was 7am-noon… they showed up at 3pm to tell me my cables were to short. (They were not) I also had cat 5 Ethernet cable and RJ45 tips and they refused to tip and make cables. They also wanted to hook up my already setup NVR to a wireless router…. If I wanted a wireless setup I would have gotten wireless cameras. I wanted wired cameras on a stand alone network. They used every excuse possible to not do the job both times. Best Buy management was not helpful either my 4th visit to complain. I do not recommend doing this. The 2nd set of installers were not technically savvy nor helpful. This has been the worst way to use my total tech support. I will not be renewing it next year.

The agents came out and looked for EVERY excuse possible as to why they could not install my wired camera system and kept trying to sell me on just adding wireless Ring cameras to the system I already have. I run wiring and work with low and high voltage machinery at my job on the daily. So I knew the guys were full of it. I allowed them to walk through the house and I played stupid. I have a two story home. It was new contraction at the time. He said stuff like “we can’t drill through you foundation”..”Since it’s a two story house you don’t have a attic.” There would be no need to drill through the foundation anyway! I “don’t have a attic”??!!...Just insulting! I just let them talk. The install was not impossible at all. The issue was not that it couldn’t be done. It was a service that I was paying for because I didn’t feel like doing it. I did get a refund since the job was not done. I would not recommend the service at all!. This was my first time using them and will be the last! I wish I could give negative stars on this review.

The vendor best buy sent charged me extra after best buy visited my property and made measurements for my cameras to be installed. Best buy was of no help to me after I was charged and has not offered any assistance to help. Store manager says to speak with corporate and when I speak with corporate, they are saying that his needs to be resolved at a store level. I also asked for 8 cameras and only 6 was shipped. ( the best buy consultant made a mistake and I am now 2 camera's short,( the order was placed over the phone due to covid). Note: Prices for 6 and 8 cameras were the same. Horrible Experience and will no longer support best buy.

Bought these cameras in June. we had numerous appointments for at least 6 weeks. these appointments were canceled last minute and rescheduled. This installation was through a 3rd party vender that Best Buy had no control with. 1 time an installer came, stayed 1 hour and kept saying he did not know how to install wired cameras. We spent much to much time with this matter. we finally contacted an independent installer and he came out right away for quote and hopefully will do the job next Tuesday. Don't even bother to schedule wired security camera installation with 3rd party installers from Best Buy. The store managers in Victor were wonderful as far as trying to rectify this situation.

The agents were courteous and helpful. There were a couple of issues. 1. Batteries were not charged before installation so it was a week or so before the cameras were fully functional. 2. The driveway camera was not put where we discussed prior to installation so the battery never did charge until the camera was moved.

I had an in-home consultation for a wireless security camera system, and I ultimately purchased a wireless Arlo system. During the consultation, the team member checked my internet download speed but not my upload speed. As a result, when the team member later came to do the install, he realized that my internet would not support wireless, thus we had to return the product and purchase a wired system, causing significant delay. This could have been avoided.

The cameras are good, but the agents that installed it, didn't teach us how to troubleshoot it, so I have the cameras with not service, it's already 2 times they've gone to the house and still not working. It takes a lot to schedule it. They're always booked!

The gentleman was nice but the fact that he said they can only put a camera atleast 10ft up was disappointing. The fact that I wanted these to be higher , had to reinstalled them myself
Would only recommend geek squad on computers
Haven’t tried them yet for anything else except my laptop (good btw) and installing my cameras (which was disappointing)

Waited for a month to have cameras installed that were shipped to me. Then told they are not aloud to go into crawl spaces per companies rules. Hmm okay cool. Returned items, was told they are past the return date. Cleared it up with a manager that was very nice and helpful. ( wish I had her name she was great!) Got my money back. I told the guys to talk to the person that came out and gave me a quote for the setup to get a different one that best buy could set up for me without going into a crawl space. I've never heard from them. All the employees were nice but man get it together. That was a huge waste of my time!! Waiting so long and then to be told they can't do it.

The installation was also horrible you have to make sure you supervise the installers because they ran the wires under the ceiling so the wires are exposed and they made unnecessary holes it looks horrible. I called to get it done right but I kept getting directed to someone else and other departments seamed like no one know how to handle this issue I was supposed to get a call back from a supervisor since for some reason no supervisors available every time I called but no return call and to this day nothing has been fixed on that. I expected better from Best Buy services. Very disappointed.
