I work with the Sony A6000 and although the photos will be cropped, that didn't stop me from getting what I wanted. After working with a the two standard lenses, having this in my case was a godsend and had me appreciate photography so much more.

Bang for your Buck!

Super light and compact, and the picture quality is way beyond what I expected for such an inexpensive lens. Would highly recommend it, especially for someone just starting out and looking for a really practical prime lens that can be used in various settings.

Great Portrait Lens

Decent starter Prime

It's a great beginner prime. Images are reasonably sharp and bokeh is good. I shoot on a Sony A6400 so there is a 1.5x crop from my APSC sensor but Images are still outstanding with this lens. However, focusing can be slow to find the subject. Another reason for the 4 stars is the lens has some green or purple color fringing in images. This isn't much of an issue because I can remove most in post. I still highly recommend this lens for beginners.

10/10 Open Box Lens

BUT I literally love this lens, it was cheap for open box and the lens was basically brand new just a bit of residue on the side, glass was clean and in perfect condition. Def buying more open box lens from best buy. Photo attached is the lens I purchased, 50MM/FE 1.8

Fantastic lens!

That came with a Sony FE 28-70 mm F3.5-5.6 OSS kit lens. Let me tell you, that kit lens is NOTHING compared to this 50mm f/1.8 lens. Obviously, there is some zoom in that kit lens, but it does not take sharp pictures like this little guy does. Super crisp and detailed shots! You will not regret buying this lens! It takes great landscape shots as well as superb portraits! The bokeh is really nice. Highly recommended! And especially for the price. DO IT! BUY IT!

It takes beautiful pictures and is a great beginer lens. The auto focus isn't the fastest, but the quality of picture if youre patient with it is still suburp.

Great value at a banger of a price.

Well, in my experience it easily competes against and even outshines the Nikon 50mm prime lens in quality of image and accuracy of the image as well. Color reproduction is very nice and sharpness is amazing. Especially in video. The auto focus of the lens is snappy and it holds the subject while they are in frame. All in all, yes I know 50mm is very common/standard but it is one of my favorite lenses now. Don’t go by what you hear. This lens is worth every penny.
