Customers commend the Xbox Series S for its overall performance, portability, speed, and compact size, making it a good system for the price. Many appreciate the graphics, especially for those with 720p TVs. The main drawbacks mentioned are the limited storage capacity and the absence of a disc drive. Some users have also noted that the console can get quite hot during use.

Got this to play Rivals with my wife and the team Members who helped me were great! Haven’t played Xbox in years and glad to have bought from Best Buy!

So this console will play titles like Elden Ring....with visuals that look virtually the same as my original Xbox One. Youll find yourself selecting "Performance Mode" over "Quality Mode" so that games are playable...but it completely kills the next-gen experience.

I recently purchased the Xbox Series S, and overall, I’m really happy with it. The design is compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to fit into my entertainment setup. Despite being the smaller version of the Series X, it still delivers impressive performance—games load super fast thanks to the SSD, and the graphics look smooth and sharp even at 1440p.
What I like most is the value. Paired with Game Pass, it gives access to a huge library of games at a reasonable price, so I never run out of things to play. It’s also very quiet while running, which is a big plus compared to older consoles.
That said, the main limitation is the storage. The 512GB fills up quickly if you’re downloading a lot of big titles, so an expansion card or external drive might be necessary. It also doesn’t support native 4K like the Series X, but for someone who doesn’t need the highest resolution, it’s more than enough.
Overall: A fantastic console for the price—perfect for casual and mid-level gamers, or anyone who wants a next-gen experience without spending as much as the Series X.

The Xbox Series S has been a great console to own. I really enjoy how compact and portable it is, making it easy to move around the house or take with me when traveling. Despite its smaller size, it runs games smoothly and offers an excellent next-gen experience.
One of my favorite features is the backwards compatibility. Being able to play older Xbox titles along with newer releases gives me a huge library of games to choose from, and everything runs well. Quick Resume is also a nice touch, letting me jump right back into games without long load times.
The digital-only setup works fine for me since most of my collection is digital anyway, and storage can always be expanded if needed. Pairing it with Game Pass makes it even better, since there’s always something new to play without extra cost.
Overall, the Series S is a solid choice if you want a powerful yet portable system. It’s affordable, efficient, and gives you access to both classic and modern Xbox games in one sleek package.

I bought this Xbox Series S for my son because he wanted one for his college dorm, and we didn’t want to take the console we already have at home. This model is more basic, but it has worked perfectly for him. Xbox is always reliable, the size is ideal, the storage is great, and he can play his games without any issues. He also uses it to watch YouTube TV to follow all his sports games. Very recommended.

Amazing product. Arrived faster than originally quoted. Price match policy is amazing and it actually comes from BestBuy instead of other stores that ship you consoles from 3rd party vendors. Only downside is storage capactiy but if you have gamepass, it eliminates the issue. If you have the money, play +4 "large" games at once (2k, Warzone, FC, etc.) and don't want gamepass I would recommend splurging for the series X. I'm maxed out on storage with Madden 26, CFB 25, Avatar, and 2k25, but now using Gamepass I use the cloud for everything else plus the additonal games and just have Madden saved for max performance.

The Xbox Series S is a compact and powerful console that offers a fantastic gaming experience at a more affordable price compared to its larger counterpart, the Series X. One of the standout features of the Series S is its design; it's sleek and modern, making it easy to fit into any entertainment setup.
In terms of performance, the Series S delivers impressive graphics and fast load times thanks to its custom SSD. While it has less storage than the Series X, the ability to expand storage through external drives helps mitigate this issue. The console supports a wide range of games, including many from previous Xbox generations, which is a huge plus for gamers looking to enjoy a vast library.
Another highlight is the Xbox Game Pass service, which provides access to a massive selection of games for a monthly fee. This makes the Series S an excellent choice for gamers who want to explore different titles without committing to individual purchases. Overall, the Xbox Series S is a great option for those looking for a next-gen gaming experience without breaking the bank.
