If you are a Xenoblade fan, this is a must get! Fantastic story and nicely improved combat!

Xenoblade Chronicles is such a special series. The first is one of my favorite games of all-time. I had some issues with X on the Wii U and with 2, but they are both incredible games in their own right and I love them. Xenoblade 3 though? The more I think about it, the closer it gets to dethroning 1 as my favorite in the series and one of the best RPGs I've ever played. That's why it pains me some times that the series seems to be chronically (see what I did there?) overlooked. It doesn't have the mainstream, family-friendly, pick-up-and-play appeal of many Nintendo franchises. Since it is on an under-powered Nintendo system it doesn't get the acclaim that many other deep, story-driven games do on something like Playstation. But these games are incredible and 3 might be the best one yet for series veterans and newcomers alike. The gameplay feels more beginner friendly than it ever has while not feeling dumbed-down. The story gives enough callbacks to satisfy most series fans but can also be understood disconnected from previous games if you have never played a Xenoblade. The sidequests entwine with the story and themes of the main quest and combine with the huge, beautiful world to make going off the beaten path well worth your time. Everything else --the world building, the characters, the voice-acting, the music, the technical design -- is all among the very best you can find on the Switch. If Xenoblade only ever sells enough to justify being able to make more of them, I'll take it. But Monolith Soft is one of Nintendo's best developers, Xenoblade 3 is one of the best games on the Switch, and what is now the Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy is possibly my favorite trilogy in all of video games. To miss out on this journey would be to do yourself a disservice. If you've never played one before, give Xenoblade a shot!

Super stoked to continue this series. Started the series with Xenoblade 2 back in 2017. The controls, battle, and story lost me. Put it down for close to 5 years. It wasn't until after seeing the trailers for Xenoblade 3 that I finally went back to Xeno 2 and everything finally clicked. Fell in love with the series. Went back to play the 1st one, loved it as well. Still need to finish Future Connected and Torna Golden Country before diving into this behemoth of a game!

Great story and world that combines aspects of the last two games without needing to have played them. Great cast of characters. Not as comedic and fanservicy as Xenoblade Chronicles 2 however. That being said: This game is not for everyone. You need to like exploring and love narrative because this is a JRPG. A ton of story and pretty repetitive combat with changes throughout the game.

Really good RPG. Large open world where can go anywhere. Interesting concepts in the story and fun characters.

Hopefully this deep in a series you kinda know what you’re gonna get, and monolithsoft doesn’t disappoint. It’s a little slow to open up but once it does, great graphics (for the system) and beautiful music, pretty interesting story with decent dialogue and good voice talent, and a big world with a TON of content. You don’t necessarily need to have played the other Xenoblade games but there are some hooks to previous entries. Recommended!

So far, I’ve only had time to play for about an hour. That’s hardly enough time to adequately and fairly review a game, especially one of this size, but within the opening hour I was able to experience a taste of the cutscenes, the cast of characters and their interactions, the soundtrack, vast environments, combat system, exploration, and systems. The verdict? All excellent. I’ve played Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition and Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and so far what I’ve experienced and seen with the 3rd entry, it’s entirely as interesting and exciting to experience. I can’t wait to see where the story goes, how everything connects, and how the gameplay evolves and deepens over the course of the game. In my opinion, this is well worth a purchase.

Excellent graphics and story lines. Sure to please almost all fans of this genre.

Quite possibly one of the greatest RPG stories and worlds I’ve ever had the pleasure of exploring and experiencing. You can enjoy this game on its own, but I highly recommend check out the others if you enjoy this one.

THE BEST GAME FOR 2022. GRAPHICS 10/10 GAMEPLAY 10/10 STORY 10/10

Absolutely wonderful game. Great story, deep mechanics, engaging gameplay, and for the first time in a Xenoblade Chronicles game, there isn’t an annoying party member who drives the whole experience down each time they talk. The game is gorgeous in both handheld and docked modes, and the music is incredible, as always. 10/10 must play if you’re an RPG fan.

This is one of the best game to have come out for the Nintendo Switch this year. There is so much content in this game. I've already put over 100 hours in, and most of it is just doing side quests! They are just so engaging! If you're a Xenoblade Chronicles fan -- or just a JRPG fan in general -- you can do no wrong by picking this title up.

I enjoyed the story alot, the battle mechanics are fun to do. Yeah theres auto attack but you choose and decide how its done and can special moves inbetween the auto attack, which makes sense. I dunno honeslty, I bought the game cause my friend speaks highly of it and i get it now

Get it! Wonderful game that gives you more and more side quests that you actually want to complete compared to previous xenoblade games. Also fun to see the places from 1 and 2 that appear here in a different context.

Absolutely amazing game must get for any switch owner!
