The 500 CFM does a good job of exhausting odors and grease while cooking. Installation was fairly simple. However, the workmanship and quality of the overall unit is not good. There were 2 rust spots where the protective coating was removed to print the Zephyr name and the metal trim in front of the glass top was welded crooked and bent so the cover would not seat squarely when closed. For the price, higher quality should be standard.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Suggested by the manager in the store. Had it installed, is a great range hood retracts. Everyone who sees it including the installer were impressed. Well made easy to use
