I had the great pleasure of seeing Roger perform The Wall live back in 2010, so to FINALLY get the DVD was pure joy. I've been a Pink Floyd fan since birth, and The Wall has always been my favorite Pink Floyd album, not to mention favorite of all time. You get a great quality film, with a little bit of movie thrown in. Obviously the live performance is stellar, but this film also has little "in-between" sequences during some of the longer instrumentals; Roger visits his grandfather's grave with his children, he reads a letter entailing his father's death, etc. This is definitely more than just a concert film.

This blu-ray is great, don't listen to all the wining everybody is doing about the cuts between segments of the show, they are not that long and they are not overindulgant like some other reviews have been saying. Sure, they should have a concert only choice or just could have put them on as extras, but they are still cool and contribute to the whole experience of the production. If I had one thing that I wish they would have offered, it would have been a choice of angles to view the show. I saw this live from the floor about twenty-five feet out from the center of the stage and the visuals were incredible, so a angle for the blu-ray from a little way out would have captured the magnatude of the show a lot better.

This is one of the best concert videos I have seen. The production quality is top notch. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack is amazing. I was surprised by the footage of Roger's journey spliced into the concert footage - a great technique I think that worked well to give us viewers more detail on the origins of the music. The supplemental material also provides insight into the behind the scenes goings on of bringing the concert to life. I only wish I had see it in person; but this is the next best thing. A must have for any Pink Floyd/Roger Waters fan.
