Chris Brown proves in this album that he can conquer almost any genre of music from the 80's pop waves influenced single "Fine By Me" and the Houston influenced "Wrist", Brown demonstrates his versatility. He also channels his role model Michael Jackson with the hit single "Zero", but differentiates himself through the use of rapping. Chris also takes his listeners back to the golden ages of R&B by remaking Keith Sweat's "Nobody", and with a Marvin Gay esqe "Back To Sleep". My personal favorite was his electronica single and ode to his daughter Royalty "Little More". Overall, Chris shows depth and growth in this album, and his ability to be a multi dimensional artist whom can perform any genre of music.

He just don't sing like he did when he first started. After the collab with Tyga. He seems to try rap on this release. He can't rap. Why so much cussing? Why so much degradation? Whoring, drugs, violence and braggery is the themes. Does have a few good upbeat and love songs on this one. He needs to get back to his beginning way. He shows his influence of other rappers who are in the game lyrically. He could have made a better effort. This CD feels like something to buy him some time and bump his revenue. Until he makes a more serious release. I give this CD passable.

Whether you are a fan or not, there is no denying the creating force of Chris Brown. The heir apparent to the entertainment void left by Michael Jackson. His content is far more risqué and edgy but we would have loved to have seen the two on a coloborative effort. Solid effort and production once again. He has yet to miss a musical beat. Let's keep listening.

Initially I wasn't sure if I was going to like this album, just because I felt like he had just put an album, but to my surprise this album definitely out shines X with his R&B tunes and club bangers.. The singles released don't do any justice for the great songs that are on the album.. Chris Brown definitely did it again with this one.

Royalty is actually a good album. You have to listen to it more than once to actually realize it. The only track on the album I could go without is Anyway. That track caught me off guard. Either wise, its worth the purchase. You can dance to it or slow it down for the ladies. Production is great!

Chris never ceases to amaze me. Royalty is a big step up from what he has been doing in the past but its only a peek to what is to occur in the future for him. Royalty has a good amount of features to keep the momentum up and constantly keep you on your feet or singing at the top of your lungs.

Chris Brown is one of the best R&B /entertainers in the world today and this latest CD from him does not disappoint. It is a nice recipe of good music, strong vocals, and with a dash of rap thrown in for good measure. Don't hate give this CD a chance.

Check out my earlier review. Breezy is going down in his lyrical content. I am very disappointed with this cd. Too much explicit bed room talk. Most parents can't (or shouldn't) play this around their children. Thumbs down for Chris Brown!
