Q: Have the ice makers been redesigned. I currently have the older model which the ice maker has been replaced or repaired 4 times. NOW no service for Samsung in our area. last repairman told me Samsung has no more information or parts to fix......

Nice fridge, ok freezer
I’ve had this about 2 weeks now and it’s a beautiful refrigerator. I have a few gripes though. One problem is the shelves and the height in between them which is not enough. I cannot put bottles of water in the fridge unless I lay them down (I use the flex drawer now instead). Same with a gallon of milk. I don’t want to put it on the door cause condiments are on there (the left side by the ice maker is basically useless except the top shelf). I ended up moving the top right shelf down a notch to put milk and taller items on but that makes the middle shelf very close to the bottom. The flex drawer is cool and it’s tall enough to put soda in and bottles of water if you lay them on the side. The freezer is just ok. It’s a bottom freezer and it’s typical. I wish there was a divider in the top part of the drawer and I wish there was an option to put a second divider in the bottom for better organization. I may contact Samsung about this. As far as fingerprint resistant? Fingerprints, yes. Smudges, no way. I’m constantly wiping off the front and the sides and I don’t have kids! Yes it’s a nice fridge but I wish they would redesign bottom freezers so you don’t have to dig.

Nice fridge
My wife loves her new Samsung refrigerator. For a counter depth unit it has lots of storage space and the Flex Drawer gives us the option to adjust our storage to our preferences. Looking forward to using the Wi-Fi features so we use up perishables while they are still fresh. Looks and works great. Everything works great and we Are very happy with the purchase after the first month. Looking forward to many years of use.
