A: Hi Dan, Yes, the third rack can be removed; however, please note that this model does not include a flat third rack. Additionally, the water pipe and the cup wash spray nozzle cannot be capped. The middle rack—also known as the upper rack—is adjustable. I have shared this model's user manual link below. Please turn to pages 24 and 25 for instructions on removing the 3rd rack. Extremely Quiet Dishwasher but Cleans Really Good
We bought this White Glass Samsung Dishwasher to Match our White Glass Samsung Refrigerator. This is an excellent machine as it is so quiet you barely notice it's on, but still leaves dishes really clean. The top 3rd Rack is very convenient for utensils and cups but it is a little stiff to pull out and push back in at first, it seems to get easier the more you use it. The Middle Rack is very smooth, no problems there and its adjustable, Just make sure you set the hight where your plates or utensils don't touch the rotating arm causing it not to spin or it won't wash that area properly. This also has a Storm Wash Setting and is very useful when it's full of a lot of very duty dishes. Dishes come out completely Dry every time. Very simple and Easy to use controls. Yes I would recommend this Dishwasher but it is a little pricy for being a Samsung product, but on the other hand the futures and performance is up there with the higher end more expensive Dishwashers. if you can afford it go for it.

Great replacement from old dishwasher!
This new dishwasher has been an absolute game-changer in my kitchen and a much-needed upgrade from my previous model. It excels at its primary function: the dishes come out sparkling clean every single time, even the heavily soiled pots and pans. One of the best features is its incredibly quiet operation. I often have to check the indicator light to make sure it's actually running because I can barely hear it. The variability in wash cycles is fantastic. Whether I need a quick wash for glasses or an intensive scrub for baked-on messes, there's a setting that perfectly suits the load. This flexibility ensures efficiency and great results for any situation. My only slight critique is regarding the drying performance. While most items are bone-dry, plastic containers and certain complex dish shapes sometimes retain a few water droplets, requiring a quick hand-dry before putting them away. This minor inconvenience, however, is a small price to pay for the otherwise stellar performance, quietness, and cleaning power of this excellent appliance. Highly recommended.

The interaction with the sales associate was great. He was very knowledgable about the dishwasher. The dishwasher is extremely quiet. The matte black looks great with black cabinets.
