A: No, that range is not compatible with this hood. I have spoken at length with Samsung support, and this model (I have the same but electric model NE58K9850WS) cannot pair with the hood. Per Samsung support, there are no range models compatible, and "The Cooktops which can be connected to the Hood (NK30K7000WS) via Bluetooth are- NA30K7750TG, NZ30K7570RG and NZ30K7880UG." I see it's been a while since you asked, but perhaps this information will be helpful for someone else.

A: This model is a wall mount.
Q: Can the Samsung range hood #nk30k7000wg be converted to recirculate instead of direct vented.
A: My contractor said he installed one with a recirculating kit. I chose to have it pull in fresh air and exhaust the old.
Q: Will this fit a 9 ft. ceiling?
A: Yes we installed this vent 30 inches above a gas cooktop and had plenty of cover for our 9 foot ceilings. They also sell a longer top piece for the chimney portion which should give you additional space if needed.
