Q: Does this TV come with the frame or does the frame need to be purchased separately?
A: Yes, I bought mine without a frame and then purchased a beautiful decorative frame that really makes it look like a painting from a company called Frame My TV. You can google them.
A: It does not have to be directed to the screen or box. It’s pretty cool.
Q: So I am confused does the tv include the black frame? or does that have to be purchased separately ?
A: A black frame is an optional extra purchase. The frame of the television itself is a dark charcoal. Although not responsive to your question, this television is fantastic. Instead of a black rectangle sitting above a fireplace I get the look at artwork.
Q: do i need to purchase a wall mount ?
A: No, the TV should include a special "no gap" wall mount that allows you to mount the TV completely flush (assuming the wall or surface on which the TV is mounted is completely flat). The mount includes a component that bolts to the TV and another component that bolts to the wall.
Q: Can The Frame be mounted in Portrait orientation to play photos taken that way?
A: I don't think so, the way the TV hangs on the wall makes sure it's in the landscape position. Essentially it's a bracket that you attach to the wall and then the TV hangs and locks in so that it's flush with the wall.
