Q: Does this have HDR (High Dynamic Range)? BestBuy spec says No. But Samsung site lists as Yes.
A: Yes, this model has HDR Premium technology display.
Q: What is the difference between Samsung models UN65KS6500FXZA and UN65KS8500FXZA
A: #1 - 983,300,000 colors. Make a HUGE difference on all sources.. even old movies. 8500 is true UHD (>1 billion colors) while the 6500 is 16.7 million colors. Huge difference. #2 - The base panel on the 6500 is 60hz. Its is 120hz on the 8500. While Samsung is providing technology to emulate 120hz on the 6500, the base panel is 60 hz. BluRays and DVDs are 24 frames per second. When the panel is 60hz, which is not divisible by 24, its has to approximate 1 out of ever 3 frames (known as 4:3 pulldown). 120 hz is divisible by 24. The pulldown results in blur, especially on fast motion as the TV attempts to merge 2 different frames. The result with a true 120hz panel is that you are seeing everything as filmed, not as manipulated, so the file is crisp and clean and the motion seems real. #3 - There are more core in the processor that upscales from your non-4k source to 4k. Its a much better TV.
