Wow, just wow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1 - Tell BB to Price Match because they take forever to update their prices. 2 - I had this nifty little thing replace my old experimental Raid 0 using 2 Intel 730 240 GB drives as my boot drive. My build was using and EVGA X99 Classified with a 5930k, but was not compatible with this m.2 as this tech (NVMe) didn't exist at the time. Using a PCIe 16x adapter card with this guy, Windows 10 immediately recognized it when installed. Used Samsung Magician to copy the Raid 0 to this guy and changed the Boot settings in BIOS and loading times are instant. 3 - Old Seq Reads were ~970, now it's 3600+ 4 - like all m.2, runs warm-hot. Like 30-55 C under heavy load, multitasking and benchmarking. As long as it doesn't go past 60, you are fine as it won't throttle until then. I do recommend a heatsink with m.2, but not 100% needed if well ventilated/cooled

Super Fast & 5-Yr Warranty = Win
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.==== Summary ==== The Samsung 970 Evo NVME SSD is a complete Win. It's fast, fast, and fast. I purchased this to replace a Toshiba 256GB NVME SSD that was included with my HP Omen desktop. Not only did I gain more storage, the 970 Evo also benchmarked ~2.5 times higher. In order to get the most out of the drive, the Samsung NVME driver and Samsung Magician software were also installed. With a 5-year warranty, the 970 Evo is not only a performance champ but also a good value. Love it. *Pros: -Fast performance. -Useful Samsung software - Samsung Magician, Samsung NVME driver. -5-yr warranty. *Cons: -None

It's a Samsung NVMe M.2 drive
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Title pretty much says it all. I've been using some of Samsung's SSDs for file/game storage (a 850 EVO 500GB and a 860 EVO 1 TB) for some time. Originally purchased them to take over for Windows and some frequently accessed games, but have been worked to clear out the two remaining HDDs that have at this point been moved to long term storage units that are eating up space in my PC tower. Held off on getting a M.2 drive for some time but started to upgrade my system at the start of 2021 and figured I'd grab one since my motherboard supports up to two of them (alongside an integrated heatsink). Not disappointed in the slightest. Migrated Windows over to this drive and it has powered through everything thrown at it. Big jump from the SSDs 550 Read/Write to this M.2's 3500/2500 Read/Write speeds. A bit of a price jump from the 870 EVO SSD's, but well worth having at least one of them in your system for your OS and frequently accessed programs/games.

Fantastic Drive for Apple A1708
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this SSD to upgrate an apple Macbook A1708. It was easy to install and run way better than the original 128Gb drive apple ships it with. It is also way more cost effective than going the Apple drive route. Their drive sells for $600 for 1TB.

Great product! You should buy it.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This SSD is fast! I mostly use it for gaming and all the games load up super quick. Ive also edited some large 4k video files on it and things seemed to run smoothly. I was worried about it overheating during the video editing, but there was no heat issues. I got the 1TB size. I look forward to NVMe SSD's getting larger capacities and lower price tags. Id Recommend this to anyone looking for a high quality PCIe SSD.

Fast drive for good price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The m2 drive provides great speed and a good value. It is a performance bump from standard ssd. I upgraded to use with Photoshop. It is super easy to install, just one screw and no wire connections needed. I would suggest checking your mobo for compatibility. Overall, a great purchase.

Q: QuestionI see this says its for laptops, will it not fit in a desktop with the m2? I dont see any reason it wouldn’t.
Asked by Compatability.
- A:Answer Yes, you can use laptop m.2's in a desktop motherboard. No, you don't have to wait for the other guys YouTube video because all you do is plug it in and screw it down (not that hard). Yes, I advise you to price check this item with Best buy because it's overpriced and can get the same item for half that price from other suppliers.

Q: QuestionI have a Alienware aurora r4, with a 3 terabyte sata drive. will this fit in my motherboard? im looking to switch to a solid state drive instead
Asked by russell.
- A:Answer My R4 doesn’t have the M.2 plug on the motherboard. Go to dell .com put your service code number in support and you will find all the INFO you will need. I use the 500g ScabDisk ssd in my R4, and use the sata drive to backup.. Good Luck!
