Monitor doesn't work - button issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent all night reorganizing my desk, rerouting wires, and assembling this monitor - all for it to NOT work. The only button on the monitor doesn't work, the monitor menu gets frozen on screen, and it doesn't stay on longer than a minute. When it turns back on, the screen is black. Can't change inputs. Returning ASAP.

Noticeably flawed
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've experienced pretty much every possible problem with this monitor. Adaptive Sync has severe flickering issues on any game that isn't stable above 80fps. Some colors, like orange, have noticeable scanlines in the corners of the monitor. There's a pretty significant backlight bleed in the bottom of the screen which spoils the otherwise excellent contrast. I've have to disable adaptive-sync entirely because the flickering is so bad. As a premium product I'm very disappointed and regret not returning it within the purchase window. Until Samsung fixes these QA issues, I won't get another monitor from them.

2k Gaming Monitor
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my first 2k monitor, and if you can find it on a deal, I recommend it. I used this mainly for gaming; it always did a great job. The colors are what worried me at first. VA panels are known to not be as accurate as IPS, but strangely, this monitor has more vibrant colors and darks than my other IPS monitor.

Very Good but overpriced
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very Good Picture, Colorful HDR600 Many don't know how to use a HDR monitor, These are my tips : 1. Install the LATEST driver for your Graphic Card 2. Install the Monitor Driver ( for Color Profile ) 3. Make sure the Monitor is updated with the latest firmware 4. Don't turn on the Windows HDR, let apps to turn on the HDR ( for example if you want to watch HDR movies, use your player software like MPC + MADVR plugin, MADVR automatically shifts to HDR mode if the video has HDR stream ). for many games it is also switches automatically. like DOOM 5. Windows "night mode ( eyes protection ) " ruins the HDR ! make sure to turn it off while you are in HDR mode. Cons : 1. Monitor stand is cheap plastic, I wish it was solid metal like alienware. so sometimes when you rotate the display the stand stand rotates with monitor too! because the stand is very light. ( as for Alienware the Stand is very heavy and solid but the display is light. Samsung the Stand is light but display is heavy! ). 2. Expensive for no reason!

Great image quality, but lacking on some areas
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The monitor itself has great image and plenty of input ports. It is easy to put together. However, at this price point I would say there are some things I would be concerned about: True Gsync range is 80-240 when using an NVIDIA card. You have to make sure you tweak your settings on demanding games to have higher than 80fps constantly, otherwise you will experience some flickering and tearing below 80fps. If the monitor range was 40-240 it would have been ideal. Monitor does not have a standby feature and thus will not auto turn on. This is quite annoying. Also, input auto detection does not work as intended. Finally, not as important, absolutely no speakers. Even some tiny speakers would do. If you can overlook these items the monitor itself is quite nice. But it is not for me.

Excellent gaming experience, curve not detrimental
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.FAST VA panel. It does have very little black smear compared to previous VA ultrawide I had. Tried 240hz IPS but can't stand IPS glow. Much better contrast than IPS, so blacks are deeper, not OLED deep but better. You don't get a weak contrast + glow combo like in IPS panels which makes playing AAA games with darker scenery a lot less distracting for me. Stuck with 27" version for more pixel density. Overall balanced gaming experience. 1440p has less detail than 4k but pushes more fps for smoother gameplay. You get use to the curve. This is Faker version, get whichever G7 version cheaper or on sale like I did. Doesn't come with Faker figurines like in Samsung ad.

27inch enough for 1440p?
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be quick the curve is really good for gaming and its a unique experience very enjoyable. The colors are really good Contrast brightness saturation.. The 240hz is amazing can never go back to 60-144hz now. What I was really unhappy about was the 2650 x 1440p resolution all my games just looked too small didnt matter much on the FOV.. I am not sure if in the 32inch version this might be the same but 27in isnt enough for me.. Im using the 1920 x 1440p resolution as that one feels like it should be its native but isnt.. Returning it for the new 360hz 1080p 24.5 alienware

Q: QuestionDoes this model come with a display port input?
Asked by SSJwho.
- A:Answer This was my exact question and after cross referencing Samsung (https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/gaming/27-g7-t1-faker-edition-gaming-monitor-lc27g77tqsnxza/#specs) it appears the answer is "YES"....Also, this monitor does not have HDMI 2.1, so the only way it can deliver 240hz @ 2k resolution is through usage of Display Port.

Q: QuestionIsn't the Faker Edition only limited to Korea? How is it sold out.
Asked by Danh.
- A:Answer No it's not. It's been available in the US and still is. Although it might go out of stock forever very soon as it's a limited edition and I assume Samsung won't keep producing them
