I will start off by saying that I likely got a "lemon" as the screw plate within the speaker stand tubing of one of the stands was welded in at an angle rather than being flat, so it never really balanced on the base of the stand very well. Initially, I thought I would just put up with it rather than taking the time to disassemble the stand and return it as the other stand was okay. However, the weight of the speaker and the speaker stand tubing eventually caused the screw plate to snap at the welded joint within the tubing, thereby making the stand completely unusable. The other speaker stand was otherwise okay. The only other gripe I have is that the design of the mounting bracket looks somewhat cheap as you can see the metal L-shape going up the back of the speaker. However, most satellite speaker stands have this same design "flaw." I ended up finding another sleeker-looking speaker stand that completely hides all the wires entering the back of the PLAY:1 from a different brand. Thus, I returned these stands for a refund rather than just exchanging them for a new set.
