The body of Agent Strahm is completely smashed and destroyed and Detective Mark Hoffman frames him. Strahm is accused of being Jigsaw's apprentice and the FBI chases him. Dan Erickson calls Hoffman and he learns that Agent Lindsey Perez has not died. When Dan finds a tape with the voice of the killer, he invites Hoffman and Perez to go with him to the laboratory to see the progress with the identification of the real voice. John's widow Jill Tuck receives a box from his lawyer with six envelops with instructions and she gives the first five to Hoffman. The unethical CEO of the Umbrella Health, William Easton, and his team are abducted and William is forced to play a game and choose who will live or die to save his family and him.

Love the whole series, but this film is a little bit different from the others. I like the new direction it took. It felt very much like a saw movie without regurgitating the same stuff we have seen over and over. This film has one of the most intense and memorable traps in the whole series, in my opinion, as well as the return of an old fan favorite. There are actually some good twists and some not so good twists. Overall a good film to watch. The special features are very good including an exciting look at the cool Saw-themed haunted house/maze!

They saved the best for last. Great movie!!!

I will not spoil it but, this movie picks up right where 5 left off. Throughout this movie, they explain why everything in the first 5 happened the way it did. There aren't many loose ends once the movie is over. You get a clear cut understanding why the games took place and why John was so dedicated to make people appreciate their lives. The Saw franchise has to be the best movies I have in my collection. PS: It would be a good idea to refresh your memory and watch the last few before watching this one.

the game comes full circle all right!

David Hackl could've returned as director, however, I guess he wasn't available for it. Jigsaw's story is finally explained, to me, his motive made sense, let's just say he was betrayed by everyone, I'm not sure why so many people had such a problem with this chapter, I didn't. I do feel they could've easily ended it here-Jigsaw's storyline is explained well, all loose ends have been tied up, so hopefully the next chapter/ s will come up with something they haven't before, they've done a pretty good job so far.

Saw is now a franchise that has its set following. I dont think it will grab the attention of many new fans. I loved every movie and am also a fan of the video game. However I dont see this being a favorite to newcomers of the series. You really have to know the story at this point. I would like to point out that this version of the movie comes with the original Saw movie on Blu Ray as well. Awesome move on their part.

as we have seen in previous saw movies, this one adds on to the mystery around jigsaw, my personal opinion is that the surprise and thrill is not as grand as previous ones but it is the 6th in the series, they can't all be amazing though the writers still have a few tricks up their sleeves and im excited for the release of the final movie saw 7. if your a fan of the saw movies, you gotta watch it

      saw 6 is great!

continues right where saw 5 left off and explains a lot but not everything. a couple of actors are annoying but most are great. detective hoffman finally gets his test (kind of). traps are pretty good but story is way better this time around. cant wait till SAW 7 in 3-D this OCTOBER.

Better than the last 2 films

Way better than the last 2 Saw films, this one actually kept me from just fast forwarding to the "game" scenes. Of course, it is Saw, and its pretty cheesey, but for a blood and guts movie....I thought it was pretty good.
