Next stop, smart house!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This overall was good..., but something with remote control, you'll get a hit or miss. I returned one because it seemed like it was used and the button didn't really click like it was suppose to. Got a new one, im happy and recommend. Don't forget you need a HUB!! Don't make that mistake! We bought a amazon echo for this.

Good, but could be better
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The switch is good and does what it's supposed to. However, it could be better. The design has a few flaws in my opinion. First, there's an option to mount the switch baseplate magnetically. This is great especially if you don't want to put holes in the wall, etc. However, it's a single magnet located in the direct center of the unit. Therefore if you go this route, the unit tends to "spin" and/or be lopsided. Change the design to incorporate 2 magnets (1 top, 1 bottom) I think would fix this. Second, the switch itself is able to detach from the base again via magnetically. Another great & convenient thing especially if you want to use it remotely while sitting on the couch, at your desk, etc. Saves a trip from having to get up to make any lighting adjustments. The negative on this is back when you mount it again. The magnet just doesn't feel strong enough to feel like it's secured back in. I feel like 1 drop from a normal light switch height could crack the plastic. Also, when you go to pull it off/put it back on, if you've secured the baseplate using the magnet, you will most undoubtedly knock it off its magnet or again make it uneven/lopsided. Lastly, I personally could do without the middle 2 buttons being dimmer switches. The response to dim/brighten is a bit lagging. I would prefer they incorporated a "slide" switch that could fine tune the brightness like you would do in their app. I would also then switch these buttons to a saved setting, like make #1 be "daylight" and #2 "mood" light so you could quickly switch lighting tones/colors. Would I buy this switch again? Yes. Why? Well, because it's the only one that exists right now and saves me from having to pull out my phone and/or tell Alexa/Google to do what I want it to do. Hopefully they'll come up with an updated version that takes some of the above into account. Also, the price wasn't too bad at my time of purchase - $15 before taxes.

Decent switch with a few issues
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The switch works and allows me to control 8 different lights from the single switch. I have both this version and the hue version for some hue lights. The two biggest issues with the Sengled are it's slow to dim the lights taking about .5 second from when you click it to the lights dimming. The other issue that's more annoying is it doesn't stay attached to the plate and constantly falls off. Overall it's a decent switch and I like the features it has, just wish those two issues could be fixed.

Not what I wanted and I ended up returning it.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought this would be an alternative to buying separate bulbs for my bathroom light fixture.I thought it would work with my Google home and I could just tell it to turn the bathroom lights on and off. It does not work like that. I ended up returning it. However the instructions were simple. Had it worked I probably would have kept it. However in light of today's technology it seems rather out of date.

Works with Smartthings but with a catch
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works OK with Smartthings. Shows up as a dimmer switch, so you can only change the brightness in 5% increments, which is too slow for most purposes. Connected quickly to my hub. If I can get it to show as 4 buttons it would be much more useful.

Works with SmartThings Hub
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works with the SmartThings hub and can be configured to control Sengled and presumably other brands of lights. These actions can be configured inside the Hub but I have a Lambda Function in AWS that puts the events into a queue which my home server can act on.

Perfect Form and Function
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This addition from Sengled works exactly as advertised with my Sengled bulbs. The ease of setup was similar to any of the bulbs and you will fly right through it with the app. Overall, it is exactly what I was looking for in those instances where I would rather activate/deactivate my bulbs without the use of my voice. If you`re looking for a wired switch to replace your current switch this obviously isn`t it, but as a companion for your current Sengled bulbs, this works great.

Game changer to avoid electrocution!
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Scenario: Your living room has no overhead lighting and none of the outlets are wired on a single circuit or to a common switch. What do you do? Well, in the past you could call an electrician, risk re-wiring things yourself, or you could accept that you'll need to manually turn on/off lights around the room as the needs/daylight change. OR... you get one of these and pair it with a Sengled hub and bulbs, and now you can control all the lights around the room with a single tap of the switch! Plus, you can dim the lights, and you can set up custom scenes based on single-tap, double-taps, or long-holds of the on/off buttons. Seriously, this switch is outstanding and the whole Sengled ecosystem integrates super smoothly with Alexa! So, whether you're trying to resolve a poorly-thought-out wiring situation in your home, or you just love home-automation stuff, this switch is an awesome addition (assuming you already have or will be purchasing a Sengled hub and some bulbs to go with it). Highly recommended!

Q: QuestionIf I have two controllers, can I put them in different locations within a room to emulate a 3-way switch? Use: in my elderly mother's room with only plug-in lamps: one controller inside door and the other at bedside. Thanks!
Asked by John.
- A:Answer This unit is not wired to the wall. The faceplate is attached to the wall with adhesive or scews. This device also requires a hub. In order to get a three way funtionality, you will have to make either your existing wall switch or your bulbs "smart." If you can get either connected to a hub, then you will be able to control them with multiple devices as you would like.

Q: QuestionDoes this switch work with Sengled lights that do not require a hub?
Asked by Lisa.
- A:Answer I use the app or Alexa to dim my Sengled bulbs. I use the dimmer with non-Sengled (New word) bulbs to control those lights the same way. That doesn’t answer your question directly but hopefully it helped.
