Q: Is it powerful enough to stitch full grain leather? About 1/4”?

The Singer Confidence Quilter model 7469Q sewing machine is capable of sewing garment weight leather (a soft supple leather of 2-3 oz [0.8 – 1.2 mm] is normal for garments) with the proper machine settings and needle. If you are planning to sew thicker leather, we recommend that you look at an Industrial type machine.
Q: The name sounds like it's for quilting, I want to know if its good for normal sewing too?
A: While the Singer Confidence Quilter model 7469Q sewing machine is capable of fashion sewing, mending, home décor and more, it also comes with the bonus presser feet used for quilting. The Singer Confidence Quilter model 7469Q sewing machine is a very versatile sewing machine.
Q: Does this machine handle quilts?
A: I've made quilt tops, but havent actually quilted on it, but I think if you made lap quilts, quilted blocks, runners, etc it would do fine.
