A: I know it seems like it would, but no. The part I assume you are asking about if it will slide under a couch, is where your foot pedals are mounted. So the base faces towards the TV. Im not sure about the height question, as it depends partially on the sitting surface height. However, my kid is barely 5’ tall and can see over the steering wheel just fine while sitting on the couch. It does fold up nicely to store but, it can be a little heavy and awkward to move around, once all the devices are mounted. Mine fits easily in a coat closet.
