Q: Does Best Buy sell a TV Stand that would be compatable with a 55" LG G3?
A: I too was worried about buying the LG stand after reading the reviews, and there wasn't much info on using other stands. So here's the answer. There are four 6mm VESA holes on the back. There are dozens of stands using the VESA mount pattern that are the same as wall mounts, with multiple mounting holes for every type of VESA pattern, and they are a whole lot cheaper than the LG stand. I went with a Perlsmith that can handle 88 pounds. Came with multiple size screws, a few tools, a dark glass base. You mount 2 vertical hanging strips on the back of the TV, which you then hang on the horizontal part of the stand, then lock it in place. There's probably a hundred combinations of VESA screw holes it can fit. The hanging strips have round holes at the top, and elongated holes at the bottom, that will fit any screw hole pattern. The whole thing even swivels side to side. You want to use the short 6mm screws and a washer for the LG. You can test the screw length needed by screwing it in by hand to see how far in it goes. They say 5 full turns of a screw is the minimum screw depth to hold a TV. The short 6mm screws goes in some 10 full turns, more than enough.
