Solidoodle 4 3D Printer: With hot working parts kept behind a closed door, this 3D printer fits as nicely in your home as it does in your workshop. Create plastic parts, toys, jewelry or prototypes up to 8" x 8" x 8", and watch them come to life through the large window of the fully enclosed chamber.
- Single extruder prints one color or material at a time: The all-metal extruder melts filament (a thin string of plastic) and then deposits the molten material one layer at a time to build your 3D print. Filament sold separately.
- 8" x 8" x 8" maximum build volume: Offers a large build area for creating a variety of objects.
- Up to 100 microns (0.1mm) minimum layer height: Lays the filament down in extremely thin layers to give you incredibly smooth prints. Or, choose a 200-, 300- or 400-micron setting if you need a faster and less-detailed result.
- Heated aluminum build platform: The 8" x 8" heated build plate (the flat surface where your 3D print is made) maintains an even temperature to minimize curling or warping of your prints.
- Fully enclosed print chamber: A black powder-coated steel enclosure reduces noise and protects you from the high temperatures required to print. The internal fan and air filter help vent the chamber.
- Control the printer from your computer: Download Solidoodle software* and connect your computer to the printer with the included USB cable. Send your .stl file, a standard 3D file format, to the Solidoodle 4 to start printing.
- Uses 1.75mm ABS or PLA plastic filament: Available from many brands and in a range of colors. The included filament spool holder easily snaps into place.
