Q: I want to use this around a pool. I'm worried about how to best lay this out. Does it go on both sides of the pool or just 1? All diagrams have a linear layout. I'd imagine I'd want it 3d layout, but not sure how to best do this.

Awesome!
Installed around our pool and patio. The install was simple and connected to my Sonos system without any problems. The music is full and rich without any dead zones within the pool or patio. They recommend to space the speakers 8 feet from each other but I did 10 feet with no issues.

Wow!
I shopped extensively before landing on these outdoor speakers. These were pretty unique in all their qualities and now that they are up and running in my backyard, I could not be happier. The other choices were not nearly as well designed as these, they were ugly, and gimmicky. These fit perfectly into the landscape, they sound great and come with a subwoofer you bury in the ground. Here's what makes this so great, the system includes 8 satellite speakers, that's the real secret of what makes this so perfect. By spreading the speakers all over the yard, you can have the music at moderate levels and still enjoy it everywhere. If you only have one or two speakers you would have to crank them up to get sound all around your outdoor space. I live in Minnesota and winters don't get worse than here. So if these things survive that, you can bet they will easily survive your wussy weather :-). I hooked these up with an Difinitive Technology 300W amp, and an AudioQuest direct burial speaker wire as well as a Sonos Connect wireless streamer. It's perfext. You can con control your music from your phone and steam Pandora as far as your WiFi reaches. I took the leap and don't regret it.

Great speakers for the backyard
Even though these speakers came with high reviews, they completely exceeded our expectations. We had a friend looking for a backyard system, we immediately suggested this system.
