- A: AnswerHi, and thank you for your question. No, our products don't turn off. They go into a low power state if not in use, but they always stay on. This is because of the nature of the use of our products. If they turned off, you would have to power it on and wait for it to reconnect everytime you wanted to listen to music or watch a movie. Which means you would either have to get up, or we would have to include a remote (which nobody likes lol) If you'd like to turn that light off, you can in the room settings. Go to settings -> system -> select the room name -> scroll down to find "status lights" --- you'll see a toggle switch to turn it off and on! Hope this helps! :)

- A: AnswerWow, So many un-informed people assuming the catch phrase they heard on some tech blog is what they need. Lets explain. Lets assume for at least the beginning of this you are streaming since that's what most people are going to do. ARC will indeed work for Atoms on this TV, if the program being watched is encoded in Atmos, and if the app in question supports atmos. You do not need e-ARC for ANY app. The only time you need e-ARC is for uncompressed Dolby Atmos, which is only available from hard media such as a UHD Blu-ray or a video game. Then and only then will e-ARC be needed. Typically even in those situations they offer the uncompressed version of Dolby Atmos if your TV does not have e-ARC. However since 99% of people only stream it is most likely not needed. There is no app that would pay the additional $$ needed to support the additional bandwidth for uncompressed Dolby Atmos, that's silly and a bad business decision. Anyone who tells you otherwise is WRONG, I understand as a consumer you might want the better option but its just not happening with streaming, that's the sacrifice for convivence you get. Difference between Compressed and Un-Compressed Dolby Atmos content would be very minimal on this soundbar and most users probably wouldn't be able to hear a difference if they were played both, and I would even say on a $100,000 pieced together audio system most would not hear the difference, even though this is a good soundbar. Dolby Digital Plus or sometimes referred to Dolby Digital Plus with Atmos will play atmos content in a compressed format(this is the format ALL apps use). However the Un-Compressed and lossless format that needs the bandwidth from e-ARC is Dolby True HD (This is what can be found on SOME Blu-ray's or video games).

- A: AnswerYes you can using the Sonos App. It uses WiFi instead of Bluetooth, which is better as you won’t hear those anyone disruptions when you get a text or message. You can also link your Music services and stream directly from them, you’ll love that feature with Spotify.

- A: AnswerThe Arc's upfiring speakers are at a (approx.) 70 degree angle up from the forward facing front speakers. You will likely need to give enough clearance between the TV (recommended 4 inches) or have the Arc pushed far up enough that the TV or shelf does not obstruct the sound from those speakers

- A: AnswerThe Sonos Arc will work with any television that can output sound through either digital optical (with the included adapter) or HDMI ARC. You would not receive Atmos through the digital optical port as that port can not send Atmos codecs. You would still receive Dolby Digital surround sound and the Arc would use the entire array of speakers to make that sound incredible!

Q: QuestionCan I set up four rear surrounds with this soundbar or will it only support two?(4 answers)
A: AnswerIn the current state, Sonos can only have 2 rear surrounds setupAnswered by TheoS
- A: AnswerHi, and thanks for your question. It is possible that this could severely decrease your sound quality, as the front speakers are pointed straight forward, and the atmos speakers are pointed up. However, every room environment is different so it's difficult to say how much it will impact your experience.

Sonos Arc, a phenomenal soundbar
I recently purchased the Sonos Arc to replace a JBL bar 5.1 soundbar that I was having nothing but problems with. First of all, even without satellite speakers the Arc's sound quality is amazing. I always purchase high end, flagship model tv's but have a habit for cheaping out on the audio. I have a good surround sound system in my living room, but this sound bar was meant for my master bedroom, which is where I end up watching the majority of TV and movies. Set up was a breeze, I got two stands for my satellite speakers and with a quick download of the app and few quick instructions followed, the soundbar was configured to the subwoofer and satellite speakers. The sound quality out of the Arc is amazing. This system brought depth to my TV and movies that the JBL bar 5.1 just couldn't compete with. I would hope so, considering the entire 2.1 setup costs around $2k. While the bar 5.1 was about $700. This unit does great job of pickup up and playing miss, highs and lows. The mode that focuses on spoken dialogue is amazing as well, many times while watching action movies, the dialogue gets drowned out by bangs and explosions. All I can say is, if you're on the fence about grabbing one of these set ups, don't hesitate. It was worth every dollar, I wish I would have made the purchase sooner.

A Soundbar Above the Rest
After having previously owned a solid Vizio soundbar for a few years, I decided to upgrade the sound of my small home theater and after going through a few reviews, I picked up this Sonos Arc. While it takes some initial getting used to with making sure it is connected to Wi-Fi and having a very minimalist design / front panel, this soundbar is powerful and responsive! Pairing it with the Sonos app helps with features like enhancing speech in films and TV shows, as well as syncing to your TV's volume to make it very easy to use without needing to have multiple remotes for different purposes. While it is a bit more expensive than a lot of the other soundbars on the market, you definitely notice the rich audio and quality!

SONOS ARC
Went from an LG10YG w/SW and I have to say the Sonos Arc knocks it out of the park. First off I can actually hear the dialogue and the background music where with the LG we used to have to use Closed captioning to understand what was going on. We plan on adding surround speakers when there is a price reduction. The only knock I have is that there are no volume numbers when increasing or decreasing the volume. I can live with that, I am now a believer in Sonos great product sleek design.
