Sony - CD-R/RW Boombox with AM/FM Tuner - Red

The reason I got this although I've purchased at least three other boom boxes in the last couple years is that just I purchased a MP3 player and was not happy with its speaker quality. My older boom boxes did not include a aux line and this one did. Thus I could play my MP3 player using its speakers. We have an older van with no easy way to plug an MP3 player into the sound system. Reviews of those items which use FM radio to play over older sound systems did not seem good. We used this boom box for a long road trip round trip from Pennsylvania to Maine. It worked great! The original batteries are still in it. My only complaint would be I wish it had a bit more volumn, even with CDs. Also, just like most modern radions, it radio reception left something to be desired. Why is it the radio reception on modern boom boxes never seem to be a good as radios a generation ago?

Bought for my mother who hadn't ever used a boombox before. She found it simple to use. Buttons are marked well and are easy to see.

This item is so easy to use. It would be nice if the cd would play in its entirety over and over again without having to start it from the beginning manually.

When I looked at this online it states there is a headphone jack but there isn't one so I had to take it back. I listen to books at work and I bought it for that reason.
