good lightweight pretty much all purpose camera
i bought this specifically for a trip. the camera is easy to use,great screen size to see what you are recording. the zoom is great. it's charge and go. i installed the software on a sony computer-the images are ok,maybe not as sharp as i would have thought.i was disappointed to find out that it is not compatable with a MAC. the sound and still pictures are ok as well, but this camera does not do well in low light conditions. If you want a small camera that travels easily and holds a lot of images, this is a definite recommendation.Overall, I like it, it's fun and easy to use and adequate for most people's needs in a digital recorder.

I'm really Happy and Content with this Camera
Major Cons- NONE Minor Cons- The lens cover-protector should be automatic instead of manual. No viewfinder; can only view with the LCD open. There were 4 major concerns before I bought this camera. 1. Big Hands; the camera is hard to hold or grip thereby making zooming in-n-out difficult. 2. Playback on Plasma or Big Screen; looks horrible. 3. Videos transferred to your computer HD look terrible when you play them back. 4. Lighting issues: users discovered a blue haze or grainy picture when playing back the video. RESPONSE: 1. I have VERY big hands and for some reason the tightness of the strap helps me to control the zoom in-out with consistent speed, accuracy, and smoothness. 2. Playback from the CAM to my LCD looks great! 3. Once transferred, video playback looks awesome on my computer; near HD! I was totally shocked with the quality! 4. I filmed in AUTO, in all kinds of light or dark conditions and ALL the videos look just fine to me! No blue haze or grain. Very Clear! If you get a camera that has any issues or problems, return it (obviously) and try another one. Don't beat yourself up complaining about it, life is too short!

Best Purchase Ever
Updated our camcorder this March. Simple to use. record button, stop/pause button. Size is great. Even my sister used it for an event we were in. She had no problems. She figured everything out just by looking at it. Very easy to download on DVD. Picture/sound is great. Negative - no charger for the battery - you need to charge on camcorder, so have extra ready. $$ of accessories and auto stab could be a bit better. Put zoom button near screen for easy access would be better. Buy the carrying bag. It's compact as well. The camcorder and battery fit nicely. Even the 7 hr battery fits but snug. If you buy the 7 hr battery, get the next size bag.
