Q: Am I correct that this device must be wired into or connected by USB to the car stereo?
A: NO, this device comes with a temporary cable which you can leave plugged into a cigarette lighter, which is what I do. Or you can have Best Buy Geeks install it with a directly wired cable which the will nicely route to the auto's fuse box. There are many other wiring options. Optionally, I think Best Buy Geeks charge 55.00 USD to wire it , if you dont want to use the cable plugged into your cigarette lighter.
Q: Does this work with android 7.0 phones?
A: check your app store that this product recommends. Suppose to be able to use on any I phone.
A: If you are going to have it installed by Best Buy, I would suggest buying the hard wire kit so you won't have the power cable hanging down and taking up your power port.
A: No. The only audio it sends to the car is from the Escort Live app. But if your car already has BT and your phone is hooked up directly to it, that connection should continue to function even if the detector is also connected (at least with current version BT devices). So, you get to the same place.
Q: Does this work with IPhone and can two phones be used at the same time
A: Hi Sis, yes, this smartphone controller works with iPhones. However, we cannot guarantee if it will work with the most recent iPhone models, additionally, it can be paired with up to 5 Bluetooth devices but you can only use 1 device at a time.
