I'm used to the old air pods. The newer lines are all thicker and don't stay in my ear as well when working out. Kept falling out after getting sweaty. There are a little strange to get used to because nothing is in your ear, and they sort of feel like they're going to fall out, but they never do. The sound is actually pretty great. This type of earphone seems to be known for not having much base (based on all the reviews I read), but the base is actually better than airpods, as these are designed to compensate for the fact that they aren't touching your ear. Airpods felt bassy only if had them really snug in my ear, which was never the case when I was sweaty and working out - they didn't used to fall out but they still lacked the bass if they were just sort of sitting in my ear. Overall sound quality is great and it gets the job done for working out!!!

The Soundcore AeroFit 2 is basically an open ear wireless headphones that functions just like any true wireless earbuds out there. There’s no cable connecting the left and right earbuds, so it indeed feels like using wireless earbuds. The design, however, is they’re biggest selling point. Open-ear earbuds such as AeroFit 2, are designed to help users maintain situational awareness. These earbuds do not block our ear canal so we can perfectly hear sound from our surroundings. The earbuds sit comfortably on our ears because the top part is hooked on them. No matter how hard I shake them, the earbuds won’t come off. There’s a bit of trade off with the design and I don’t really mind with that. I use the earbuds mainly to listen to podcasts and talking to other people over my phone. The audio quality for these purposes is great. Dialogue and voice from podcast contents sound great and my voice on the other side of the line sound clear as well. As for music, it’s passable although the headphone supports high-res audio codec. I think these earbuds are as good as they can get with an open ear design headphone. I would say one would have to look for a closed ear or in-ear headphones if audio quality for music listening purposes is on the top of the priority. Again, the open ear design is meant primarily to maintain optimum situational awareness so some trade-off in terms of audio quality would be reasonably expected. To maintain optimum audio performance, Soundcore recommends user to perform daily maintenance. It’s quite simple as all that is needed is to wipe the earbuds with dry cloth and using small brush to clean the speaker mesh on the earbuds. However, I don’t remember the need to do daily cleaning with so many of my other earbuds. I believe skipping daily maintenance won’t give harm to the headphones if some maintenances are performed every once in a while. I use my headphones for the entire day, and they don’t appear to get dirty easily after a day of use. The earbuds have IP55 rating, so some water resistance protection is there including from sweats. The headphones are rated for 10 hours of use on a single charge and 42 hours with the charging case. That’s pretty good to last for the day. Lastly, Anker made a really nifty app, the Soundcare. I like the app a lot as it unlocks several other useful features, such as 3D surround effects for movies and games, white noise and even real time dialogue translations for meetings and lectures. I tried the real time dialogue translation and it’s actually pretty good. Overall, I think Anker has time and again proven itself as a good value brand with products that perform well. Pros: Great for maintaining situational awareness Stable fit Great audio for voice and dialogues Apps provide many great features including live AI translation Rated for 10 hours of use on single charge IP 55 water resistance protection Cons: Not that great for music listening even though they support high-res codecs

I appreciate the case and buds’ matte black finish, which repel smudges nicely. The case lays flat in the pocket. The flexible over-ear hooks keep them secure—even during dynamic workouts. They’re IP55 rated, so sweat and rain aren’t a concern. I wore them until the battery died and never felt any discomfort. I even forgot they were there at some point. Battery life is decent: 8 hours on the buds (with LDAC at 60% volume) and the case adds 32 more. The case charges via USB-C and wirelessly (surprisingly), and shows a handy LED indicator. A 10-minute quick charge gives 4 hours of playback. The buds feature Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint and works flawlessly across devices—no lag, no dropouts. Game Mode is available for minimal lag gaming. Call quality is decent. They pick up some wind, but conversations are still clear. The open design makes calls feel natural, like talking in person. However, the sound is the highlight. The 20mm drivers deliver rich, surprisingly bass-heavy audio with clear treble and slightly recessed mids. LDAC, combined with a HiFi source, elevate the experience even further. The open-ear design provides great channel separation and imaging. One must keep in mind that the open form factor can impact clarity in noisy environments. That means these are best in semi-quiet environments like the office or walking around the neighborhood and hiking. Spoken content like podcasts and audiobooks sound especially good. The Soundcore app adds EQ presets, firmware updates, battery info, and customizable controls. On-bud controls are responsive and intuitive. Bottom line: I’ve tested a lot of open-ear earbuds, and the AeroFit 2 stand out for comfort, sound, and features, which make it an easy recommendation for those looking for open-style buds.
