  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: false (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Q: How long are the cycles?

A: The complete cycle for the SPT - 18" Portable Dishwasher is about 70 minutes.

Q: Faucet requirements?

A: Yes, but the fitting is included. The end that screws on to the faucet is dual-threaded (male and female threads) so it will work with 90% of faucets. However it does not work with most pullout style faucets because they don't have enough threads to create a sealed connection. I had to replace my pullout faucet with a traditional faucet with a side sprayer to make the dishwasher work.

Q: Does this come with casters?

A: The SPT - 18" Portable Dishwasher is mounted on casters.

Q: What type of covering is on the top of the dishwasher? Is it like a counter top?

A: The top is thin covered particle board similar to most cheap furniture. Any cuts will swell up when they get wet. Im looking into replacing or topping mine with a small butcher block, cutting board, or granite top.

Q: How long on the hoses and are they retractable? What is the shortest cycle?

A: The hoses stretch to about 35". They do retract.

Q: What is the temperature of the rinse cycle?

A: Hello, the wash and rinse water temperature depends on which of the 6 wash cycle you choose. The Wash temperature ranges from 122° F to 136°. The Rinse cycle temperature ranges from 131° F to 154° F. The instruction manual for this dishwasher has each cycle explained by how many pre-wash, wash, rinse and dry time along with the temperatures of each wash and rinse and if that cycle dispenses the rinse aid. I highly recommend this washer and have used all but one of the cycles (rinse only) with great results. I hope this helps.

Q: How does it drain?

A: The hose that is connected to the faucet is actually 2 separate hoses.. One each for inlet and drain.
