One of the best of the NG series!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie explores 2 basic concepts: a) style of command; b) torture techniques. Both extremely interesting and instructive. Watchers familiar with Captain Picard’s style of command, will find the new style, imposed by his temporary substitute on the Enterprise, quite a challenge and an effective one. Surely not every Enterprise member accepts it, but it is an alternative, effective one in a special time of distress for the Federation in that particular portion of the Galaxy. Great acting from the new Captain. The second concept explored here, torture, is even better, with Captain Picard facing an expert professional torturer, the Cardassian Madian. Madian attempts many techniques to lure, scare, physical plain torturing, poor Captain Picard to extol a Federation military secret: the acting skill of both (and perhaps Madian more than Picard) is one of the best of the whole series and maybe of history of the cinema. Full marks...

THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best two part episodes of Star Trek The Next Generation, IMHO! Patrick Stewart, David Warner and Ronny Cox are top notch in this two part episode that has been combined into one long seamless episode/movie. As usual, Picture and Audio are also great. Some cool special features/interviews exclusive to this Blu-ray.

A phenomenal acting tour de force by Patrick Stewa
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a lifelong Trekkie, I am thrilled to have pirchased this release of one of the best Star Trek Next Gen episodes ever done. Patrick Stewart gives an amazing performance and the themes of the episode, while dark, and involving a very strong subject, namely torture, are relevant to present day events. This presentation brings the subject to the forefront in a very accessible and understandible way. Well worth watching, though not with small children around.

Another great two parter! NO SLIPCASE THOUGH!!!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love all these two parters, this one is no exception. I love them mainly because they eliminate the end credits of the first, the previously on as well as the beginning credits to the next part. The blu ray transfer of all TNG episodes is beyond stellar and it's even more fun to watch a feature length episode with the awesome dts sound and incredible picture.
