One for my collection
I'm a fan of the show and I've already seen this season prior to this purchase. This is an addition to my Blu-Ray collection of this show. It's one of my favorite seasons. I really like the special features that come with the Blu-Ray edition, including deleted scenes from each episode and the featurettes included on the final disc.

An excellent collection of an above average season
Season 11 was one of the better seasons after the initial 6-8 seasons of Supernatural. This DVD set archives the events of season 11 from start to finish as the aftermath of breaking the seal that was the Mark of Cain, which imprisoned the Darkness, to the eventual end of the vendetta between Chuck/God and his sister Amara/The Darkness. A major event that happened in this season was the release of Lucifer from the cage by Castiel after Sam decided to interrogate him in/by the cage regarding how Amara was trapped in the past. We also see Hands of God for the first time, which are items that were directly touched by God and had His power stored in them that various characters used & the Winchesters hoped to use on Amara. One of the best episodes of the season is Don't Call Me Shurley, when after 11 seasons of the show, we finally have an on screen confirmation that Chuck Shurley is not just a prophet but is actually God of the Supernatural universe in disguise. The episode and the way it was handled with Metatron was very well done. It actually made the viewers finally understand why Metatron did what he did and it answered many of our questions. It was wonderful seeing Dean's amulet again and how it shined finally when Chuck wanted it to. The season does have its downsides though like the way the season ended (no big battle, but rather an anti-climactic burying of the hatchet). I also am not a fan of Rowena & the silliness around her and she does have a big role in season 11. I did want to mention that this season introduced a new monster which ended up becoming one of my favorite monster types---the Soul Eaters in the episode Safe House. The Soul Eaters create a pocket dimension, which exceeds space & time in the real world and actually allowed Sam & Dean of the time to be in the same area as Bobby & Rufus of the past, without them knowing. I was really hoping to see more Soul Eaters and maybe for the time aspect to allow the Winchesters to interact with Bobby and perhaps warn him of his demise at the hands of Dick Roman so they could somehow bring him back. I also think it would have been interesting if Soul Eaters were explained as being a creation of Amara's since she is a god and exceeds time herself just like Chuck (which is why if Chuck was killed so would the universe since it would be as if Chuck (the creator of time & one who is beyond time, never existed to have created the universe). Anyway, I highly recommend this season for both casual viewers and of course for diehard fans it's not even a question.

Stay in the circle of salt...Supernatural
My teen granddaughter and I enjoy spending time together binge-watching Supernatural. We like to order the complete season so we can enjoy our movies at our leisure.

Video IS Supernatural! Try it!
If I could give this 4-1/2 Stars, as my favorite seasons are the first three! However that aside, Supernatural does deserve the 5, as it has been a surprisingly good series, loved by my wife & I both. We didn't start watching the series until this spring, & got the 1st 9 seasons as a set, on the recommendation of a friend. I can't remember how long we had that set sitting around until we finally decided to try watching it, but by the time we got thru about 1/4 of the 1st season, we were hooked on it! From then on we watched one season after the next (the only way to watch it!....esp. w/ no commercials or waiting for the next episode!) & when we got to the end, buying the next seasons until we were up to date was automatic. The Blu-ray was a great transfer and the extras are all worth watching. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend getting this, along with the rest of the Seasons. Supernatural is a really good series, and as our friend did for us, I HIGHLY recommend you give this show a try. (I would highly recommend you to Watch it from the beginning! It is not something you can expect to enjoy if you just "pop in" for an episode or two. You could do that with most of the 1st three seasons, but the format/ story line is no longer "completed each episode", & much of it is now built from week to week.) Anyone who likes this sort of subject matter, will love Supernatural!
