This Cam is a fairly good value for the price. But needs better focus. And could use at least a digital zoom feature. Also needs a method of adjusting the low light mode. So that it dosn't go into this mode quite as soon as it does. Most of this could be done in the firmware.

I'm not sure if this camera is a dud? When you first power on the camera it is suppose to perform a self test this camera never moved! I figured this was a camera that was sent back repackaged and I'm the unluckly person it was sent to! I'm keeping it but will never buy another.

My overall opinion is that not all of the features listed on the box or online were true or worked. But did have a good price. I would suggest that Swann make improvements.

No audio and recording/playback on a Mac

I had to return this camera as not all features work on a Mac. This was not stated on the box, only in the user guide, inside the box.
It did not require any set up to just try it. I plugged it and hooked it to the router via ethernet. I looked up its local IP address in my router and entered it Safari and Firefox. The camera's interface was vey clean and self explanatory.
I was able to get live vide on my Mac in both Safari and Firefox and rotate it up/down and sideways from the buttons in browser interface. However, the buttons for 2-way audio, recording, and playback were missing as they are active only on Windows/Internet explorer (more technically, it requires ActiveX).
I own another IP camera and it has full Mac support (via Java instead of ActiveX).
Too bad I had to return it as the entire package was high quality. Responsive to controls and quiet, video quality good for the resolution (640x480), and user guide teaches you everything you need to know in order to set up remote control/login.
So I could not test the Windows only features, but based on how everything else works, it is likely they will work fine.
