Customers have good things to say about the picture quality, brightness, and price of the 65" Class 8-Series 4K Mini-LED QLED Dolby Vision HDR Roku Smart TV. Many customers rave about the amazing picture quality and feel they got great value for the price. Others appreciate the brightness and black levels of the TV. The Roku interface is also a popular feature among customers. However, there are some concerns about the TV's motion blur, remote control responsiveness, weight, refresh rate, and viewing angle. Some customers have complained about the motion blur and slow response of the remote control. Others find the TV to be quite heavy and wish it had a variable refresh rate. Additionally, a few customers have mentioned that the viewing angle is limited.
So only had this Television for 3 days, and we have watched movies, live sports, and Television Shows; you could say we are average Consumers. I've always been a Samsung fan, this is my 1st purchase that was not that brand. I have to admit cost was a major consideration in this purchase. All I can say is... Wow. This is a fantastic Television. The picture quality is outstanding. TCL hit it out of the park on this one, homerun. Picture quality and for the price? I have no regrets on this Television. Keep doing your research on televisions, TCL is right up there in quality in my opinion.

I've always loved the home theater experience. I'm also a lifelong gamer. Typically, for my main 4K TV, the price I had to pay for amazing picture quality was noticeable amounts input lag. No more with this TV. I can play my Xbox One X games in all their 4k glory with what feels like zero input lag. I've had to use specific gaming PC monitors in the past for this level of responsiveness. Even classic games, such as 1991's Super Mario World played via my Nintendo Switch - possibly the greatest test for input lag due to the low resolution of the source material - plays just as responsively as I remember. The picture quality is also excellent. Multiple versions of HDR support was an especially welcome addition. Easily the best TV I have ever purchased. Full disclosure, at the time of writing and purchase, I am employee at Roku. Though I did not personally work on this TV. Kinda wish I had though given how great it turned out.

So I should preface this review by saying this is my first “smart” enabled tv...having a Roku system built in is a great, convenient feature...now for the picture: I wish I had an OLED side by side to compare it to because to my eye, this set is on its own level and I’m not sure I’d be able to distinguish...the blacks are inky black and the tv gets exceptionally bright (which is a plus as this is in our upstairs family room with plenty of ambient light). Dolby Vision and HDR content is breathtaking. I thought out of the box, it looked pretty good but I’ve made a few settings adjustments on my own and think it looks really exceptional now. The TCL/Roku self calibrating app was really simple to use. I’ve never had a set professionally calibrated so I couldn’t tell you if it would be worth going above the free calibration app feature or not. I didn’t think the sound from the tv speakers was bad but I’m a little hard of hearing as is so I added the Sonos Arc soundbar and that really makes a nice difference. Lastly, at $999 on sale, I simply don’t think there’s a better value right now if you’re in the range for a 65” set
