This game is your basic 3rd person shoot and cover game. This game doesn't convey any sense of excitement or even drama. The game is only 4 hrs long, and not a really good story to get into the action. The game does have a split screen co-op mode, but lacks a little online. At $60 you're really not getting your money's worth, not even for a rental.

Another easy achievement game.

This game is horrible other than the fact that you can attain all the achievements in less than 5 hours. I would recommend renting this one. I think the graphics are decent and the gameplay is ok. The weapons are pretty decent but overall it's a very short game and very easy.

Not as bad as some say

Unlike most gamers I'm not into 20 or 30 hour games. Yes, Terminator Salvation: The Game runs about 5 hours long but that's perfect for gamers like me who only have 30 - 45 minutes at a time to play. I also liked the atmosphere that this game generates when confronted with certain enemies. When you encounter your first T-600 you are tempted to try to go head to head with it. This simply does not work. You can pour round after round into it and it still keeps coming.
The graphics are not as bad as some would have you think either. True they are not the most polished in the world but they are by no means horrible. The lighting effects and character models are what you would expect from this generation of console game but not groundbreaking.
The cover system is a little tricky at first but once you get the hang of it it becomes second nature. The controls are pretty average and not too difficult to learn. All in all it controls pretty well.
I like the cover system as well. It lends a lot to the action of the game. My only complaint is that it is somewhat tricky at first to get your character to climb over a wall or other obstacle.
The Achievements are as straight forward as you can get. After each level you complete you are awarded 80 gamer points. You can also earn 100 points for finishing the game on medium and 180 for finishing the game on hard. I'm not sure what the big complaint is about the achievement points. In my opinion more games should be patterned like this. I personally have no interest in running around on a scavenger hunt trying to find skulls or tags or what-not.
One of the only drawbacks for me in this game are the longer than usual load times. I'm sure once I install Terminator Salvation: The Game onto my hard drive it will load much quicker.
In summary I would give Terminator Salvation: The Game a 7.9 out of 10. I think it's a fun pick up and play game that doesn't require you to invest hours and hours of time to complete it. It's really not that bad of a game.

It has little to complain about cause i love the cover system. its very similar to gears of war. the different weapons that are able to be used are pretty good but i wish the ammo clips were longer. its too short for $60 cause in a non-stop gameplay its able to be finished in 4 hours. i would only reccomend this to someone who like movie-based games and challenging gameplay.

$60 for 4 hours of Gameplay and no Live ?!?

I can't believe this game is $60.If you play this game staright you'll finish in about 4-5 hours and probably never play it again. It has no Live, but it does have 2 player Local Co-Op. You only fight 4 different enemies the whole game over and over so its quite repetitive. Loading times are very long and the Cutscenes are not that great. They tried to make the game longer by having alot of un-needed cutscenes. The cover system is pretty good and graphics are nice, especially the post-nuclear surroundings but that barely makes up for the price, length and poor story. It is easy to get nearly all the acheivements since playing it one time thru on Normal gets you about 900 (80 after every level). Save your money till this game is under $20

This game is real short, no challenge and boring. Rent it if you must play it but I'd stay away. I completed in one evening on medium level.

Overall i didnt like this game. The game is very repetitive. there are are only i think 6 types of enemies and 3 of the 6 only show up in 2 maybe 3 of the chapters. There are also only 5 diferent guns and pipe bombs and grenades. the game was extremly short compared to anything ive ever played. The cover mechanics in the game that they say are advanced are not what they make them out to be. The cover mechanics are just like gears of war but not as good. If u want to play this game i would rent it or wait till it drops to about $20 to buy it.

This game is fairly good but not worth 60 bucks. If you really want this game wait for it to be cheaper like maybe 20-30 bucks.
