It's very different than back when it started
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I still love this show, but the tone is changing. I'm not sure that's a bad thing going into it's 9th year. If the tone had stayed exactly the same the show would have gotten stale by now. But things are definitely changing. Sheldon is the biggest change. He's gotten a lot more human. That actually makes sense because he's been surrounded by social people for 8 plus years now. Even Sheldon would have had to pick up a thing or two. And as much as I love the season 1 Sheldon, that act would have gotten completely old by now had his character not expanded a little. He's still Sheldon, but Amy has softened him up a bit. This season he's dealing with Amy breaking up with him because their relationship was going no where. The comedy is that Sheldon in 30 years old and is going through dating and breakups for the first time so he's reacting to it like normal people do when they are 16. It's funny. Leonard hasn't changed much since the beginning. But his relationship with Penny has. It continues to evolve, and I'm not sure I like it anymore. It was fun watching them in the first few seasons realizing they liked each other. But now they don't seem to like each other. The season starts where season 8 ended, with them headed to Vegas to get married. (I won't tell you what happens) But I can't help but feel like they shouldn't get married. They are already an old boring couple who doesn't seem to like each other. There is ZERO chemistry between them. I'm still enjoying the Howard and Bernadette marriage. That was a good change for the show. Howard would have become insufferable by now in his original form. The marriage works well for the show. These two have on screen chemistry and great comic timing with one another. With Raj starting to get more social and having been able to talk to women without being drunk for several seasons now, Stuart has taken over the role as the lovable pathetic loser on the show. That starts getting pushed harder at the start of season 9. If I started watching this show in season 9 I don't think I'd like it. But I'm invested in the characters at this point so I love seeing how they continue to develop.

Big Bang Blu-rays Never Disappoint
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Around season 7, all Big Bang Theory blu-rays come with a Digital HD Ultraviolet copy. There are a couple of releases of earlier seasons (hard to find) that do include a Digital HD code. That said, it is standard now. The releases are always quality, and if you wait a few months after they initially are released, you can usually find them on sale for twenty or less. Highly recommend buying the blu-ray instead of purchasing the digital copy direct. You get both formats this way and it's generally the cheaper route to go.

Yet another season of one of the funniest shows on
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the ONLY series that I have bought every season of ... EVER. The shows are funny to watch years later because the humor and characterizations hold up because what is funny is the interaction of the characters more than "funny lines" (though there are plenty of those as well). We almost always have a DVD in the player so if we want to kill a short bit of time and get a giggle ... we can just turn it on and play. Really is one of the best shows on TV

Must buy for Big Bang Theory fans.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love to watch Big Bang Theory, but because I don't subscribe to cable or satellite, sometimes digital signal is too weak. Also, sometimes I miss the re-runs, so I purchase the DVD. On one of the earlier episodes, the Sheldon character made a mistake in his explanation of "ketchup." If one looks it up in the dictionary, ketchup is Chinese (Cantonese) and/or Malaysian based, meaning tomato sauce/juice. My father had explained this to me when I was a teenager.

Gotta Love "The Bang!"
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have been faithful watchers of The Big Bang Theory ever since season 2, and have since bought all 9 seasons on disc when they became available. This one is no different! The plot each season always gets better and the new characters never disappoint. We have already watched this newest season twice in the short time we've had it (and that's after watching it on TV during the year!). Definitely worth buying and pulling out whenever you need a good laugh!

Big Bang out of Big Bang Theory
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the best seasons yet, in my opinion. I am partial to seasons 2, 3 and 4, but something went a little awry for a couple seasons. With 9 I feel like things are back on track. It is fresh again and funny. I'm a big fan and have seasons 1-9. We usually watch a random episode every night. Raj is my favorite character. He has really developed over the course of the show's run.
