A masterpiece need I say more. This is Terry Gilliam at his best. One of the most original films I have ever seen. See it.

There are very few movies that I would recommend to anyone. This would be one of those movies. All of the themes in the movie are alive and well. Personal privacy, terrorism, big government and love. More relevant today then when it was originally released. You owe it to yourself to at least watch this movie once in your life.

One of the best post-apocalyptic movies ever. It's very long, but a classic well worth your time.

It's a great movie that got a lot of stuff right about the future . Seems a little dated because of the technology depiction but still enjoyable.

I ahve to admit that I did not care for this movie when I first saw it. In fact, I think I probably ended up turning it off. But I kept coming back to it inspite of the fact that I don't usually care for sci-fi, and now I can really appreciate the movie and all its ideas. The criterion package of supplemental features is outstanding. This is the version to get for anyone who is a fan.

    Pretty Good Movie

This is a great edition of a pretty good movie. Terry Gilliam's film was recut for theatrical release, and is presented in two versions on this 3-disc set -- the director's cut, and the "Love Conquers All" edition, which has a sappily optimistic ending. The cast is pretty good, featuring performances from Jonathan Price in the lead role, Kim Griest as the object of his affection, Michael Palin as a coworker of Price's who's not all that he seems, and Ian Holm as Price's nervous boss. Robert De Niro and Bob Hoskins appear in small roles. The set design and cinematography are interesting and weird, just like the film itself. This is a definite addition to your collection if you're a Monty Python and/or Terry Gilliam fan.
