This is a long awaited album from the New York duo The Underachievers. Their debut mixtape "Indigoism" gave them a lot of hype and attention. That tape was really great and had a lot of high quality beats made by a variety of producers and good rapping as well. Then came their 2nd tape "The Lords of Flatbush" which was very underwhelming to me because it had a lot of trap beats made mostly by Lex Luger and the lyrics weren't as deep or inspiring as Indigoism. Now heres Cellar Door which to me is a different sound from the other 2 tapes. This tape is more lo fi and some of the vocals sound a little muddy and low fi. The psychedelic type beats are back from Indigoism but are more lo fi and not the type to party to. Their flow in this tape are lazer sharp fast but sometimes they overdo it up to the point where their in the last inch of breath and this is seen mostly by Issa Gold in the song Chrysalis and Sonorous and you could tell also with AK in the song Radiance. These guys are known for the lyrics that touch on pyschedelics, weed, third eyes, gods, kings, pharaohs, and BEASTCOAST. Issa Gold's flow was fantastic and would usually show up in the hooks on most Underachievers songs, but to me in this tape he doesn't have that same flow back in Indigoism. I feel like he's going on a different path and AK's flow is very lazer sharp, just as sharp like in Indigoism. If they're gonna drop another project, I hope it's something like Indigoism or it takes another path. Overall, This is a 4 out of 5 for me.
